the puck was not interrupted from the moment it left his stick. it went into the goal directly after it left his stick. Luck would have been the puck leaving his stick, deflecting off another object(s) and going in. Think about it for a while! The puck was never touched after it left his stick! In that case, what is the difference between a shot from the point that goes straight in and Ovechkin's goal which went straight in? I think those who believe this is luck need to re-examine the shot!

that was not all luck.. luck is pachinko...luck is roulette..luck is not hockey. he controlled the direction of the shot...you might say it was UNlucky for the goaltender, but he purposely shot to score....at the last minute however....luck is when there is no determining force of the outcome(entropy). clearly he was the determining force behind the goal. i would say 50% Determination/ 50% Skill. I don't think there was an ounce of luck in any of it.
