why make a tutorial with no sound, zoomed out so far no one can see what you're doing and going too fast to keep up with? Friggin stupid waste of time
@KrAzYzFAiLz Photoshop brushes can be loaded straight into GIMP. Look for your GIMP installation brush directory and put the files in there. Then look for your brushes dialog and refresh the brushes or simply restart GIMP. If you're still not sure, type 'how to install brushes to gimp' into Google and click the first result to the GimpTalk thread.
@XxGwendalynXGorexX Once you've extracted the ZIP folder, you should have an '.abr' file available. You need to move this '.abr' file to your GIMP installation brush directory. Then either restart GIMP, or refresh your brushes dialog.
@ArtificialFlavaFTB2 Navigate to 'Windows' > 'Toolbox', it should appear. For editing fonts, use 'Windows' > 'Dockable Dialogs' > 'Tool Options', with the 'Text Tool' selected.
@hulldo When I click on Toolbox and Dockable Dialogs, it doesn't do anything except it indicates im not on the selected window any more(Like, I clicked off the window, but nothing pops up
@ArtificialFlavaFTB2 You might need to reset your workspace layout by deleting your 'sessionrc' file, which is located within your 'settings' folder.
If you want to backup your current layout rename your current 'sessionrc' file to 'sessionrc-backup', GIMP will then create a new workspace for you. If it doesn't work and the window is still hidden, rename 'sessionrc-backup' back to 'sessionrc' and it will be as if nothing as changed.
where do i get the smoke/smokey brushes, u should ut the links on the down below but ... any ways , i thoug u were using a lotof filter, but with a brush is so much easy, WHERE DO I GET THAT! ?
im trying to do the exact same thing as practice but i was curious to what version your using. im using gimp 2.6.8 and i cant find those smoke effects in the brushes toolbox. if you could help in anyway it'd be greatly appreciated!
@xien420 You have to download the brushes. If you go to deviantart, you can search Gimp smoke brushes or something like that, then download the brushes you want.
