  • I saw that one but from a lot farther away.

  • can gustnados cause damage as tornados can? i was just wondering because i saw one the other day around my friends place it was intense! but i was just wondering.

  • @thevampress1 Yes, although they only get as strong as a weaker Tornado (EF0 - EF1) - rarely EF2.

  • WOW, that looks like the tornado is slowly forming from the ground up!

  • gustnado isnt similar to a torndado

  • Dust devils form from warm air near the ground. gustnadoes form from winds shear from a thunderstorm gust front.

  • How does Feb 7, 2007 sound you two twits! :D

  • hey lets go play it wont hert

  • Ahh yes champion effort there - what a day! :D

  • Nice gustnado! How long did it last?

  • That one lasted a few minutes, there were actually quite a few gustnadoes that day, we had to move quickly though as the storm (which was a supercell) was encroaching on us and the outflow was pushing about 120km/hour (75miles per hour or 65knots roughly). We were in a 3 car convoy and one of the cars copped a large branch which did some pretty hefty damage to the bonnet. Trees were literally being torn to shreds around us at stages.

  • Nice aussy video havent seen one in a while.

  • Cool gustnado
