  • It's not that bad and I rather watch a cgi that can move and convey the articulation then a. Puppet with her lips on the mic

  • This was terrible. They traded Lapti Nek for this? I was going to maybe see these trilogy in 3d, but if they're going to be this ridiculous parodies of the classic movies, then forget it. That money could be better spend on an e-bay laser disc player so I can watch these movies without all the pointless and stupid getting in the way.

  • Ok, I like a lot of what George changed, as well as the original originals, but the animation in this scene just ruins the believability of all 3 movies.

  • I actually loved this scene! people can throw rocks at me i liked it!when i saw it in 1997

  • BOOOOO. This song sticks out of the movie like a huge, bloody pussy sore thumb. It looks terrible, the CGI of course, and is so bland as a song in general. The original song w/ the NOT CGI alien was just fine, it fit in with the palace scene better than this crap.

  • To think that the originals still aren't at the level Lucas wanted. (about 25% or 30%)

So if they ever are in his eyes good enough they'll be movies about 88% CGI with meaningless and stupid crap around every corner that they'll be virtually unwatchable.

(by then the prequels won't look so bad by comparison)

  • guys what have you got against this, the song is actually amazing and very well written for the type of music when the movie was done, its actually brilliant

  • @Bigalray94

I agree. It's not the best music, but it did make the most boring part of this movie watchable

  • i actually love this song!

  • Am I the only one who doesn't find this Pointless?

  • Such a terrible fucking song added by fucking George Lucas. very out of place in Jabba's palace.

  • This is awful!!!!!!!

    1) Jow Yowzah sings like he's taking a dump (like Louis Armstrong)

    2) The drummer looks like he's having a seizure

    3) @ 0:38 there is a giant penis playing the clarinet

    SMH GEORGE LUCAS!!!!

  • @ManofChrist101 To be fair though, that giant penis was in the original version.

  • whats with the 'Louis Armstrong' monkey?

  • this is an abomination

  • i remember the first time i saw this, i was like "what the heck did george lucas do?" i'm sorry, but the "enhancing" in this case just made it look stupid.

  • good song, jedi sucks sith rocks

  • The song is still better than Lapti Nek and I'm not a fan of the special editions.

  • of all the horrible additions to the movie, i hate this one the most...

  • If I didn't know any better, the musician at the start sounded like he was about start playing Lapti Nek before he got cut off.

This is cool and all. . .But it doesn't have the feel of something that would be played in some seedy gangsters palace.

  • I'm pretty sure the brown fuzzy guy says Chicken pot pie when he is singing!

  • Both Lapti Nek and this are good. Although this sounds more....funny. Which is bad.

  • What's not to love?

  • @SelenaandShuichifan Everything? While the song itself isn't that bad, Lapti Nek and the scene it accompanied was much, much better than this lame music video George included.

  • @andoc Um excuse me, i think it was Demetrius900000 that said it was bad, not me.

  • @Nyarmith why watch it then?

  • han chilling in the background

  • 1:01 wuhoh

  • I really do not see what the big deal is. The movie is still great

  • :42 2hot2handle.

  • it looks like some random characters from 'monsters inc' stumbled into a live-action scene. DIAF george lucas.

  • @burblx DIAF?

  • @futuremovieactor die in a fire

  • @WiiDSguy i almost misunderstood! hahaha thank you. as big a fan i am, i've never actually seen the original versions of the Original Trilogy, but i'm buying the limited edition versions with both the original versions and the 2004 versions on DVD so i'll finally put that to rest.

  • better than the crap they call music today. anyone else think Rystáll Sant is hot ?

  • @TheButthead2000 The music is pretty good. She isn't to bad looking now that you metion it, but I've always that the blue gal to here far right (I think) was hot too.

  • @EnigmaMan88 I'm pretty sure shes white but what the heck who cares! :D

  • 0:42 thats scary

  • lyn me

  • asome

  • Pootie Tang. No, no no. Au laua! POOTIE TANG!

Cha na uma ching chang chong 日本人は黒人大嫌い you're a coon, oon. Na ma lang ooga lang. AYE!.

  • chi cha kika looloo kow!

  • i don't get it why there are so many dislike? Because of the music? The music it's great, i don't know if is the original or is re-edit, but i kinda have seen some days ago all the movies (all 6) in blue ray.

  • like this if you think sy snootles looks like a frog

  • y u all hate lucas? somone fill me in!!

  • this clip is crap, you cant even see the sides of the picture properly.

  • Uh oh!

  • I like this song more then the orginal one?

The orginal one was kinda crappy..

  • Lucas... you are an asshole

  • she sing better than the LADY GAGA :)

  • am I the only one who kinda likes this song

  • @yashahime you are now, when it first came out I thought liked it, then I came to my senses and now fucking dispise nearly every single addition to all the additions from 1997, the old one is better, even with the muppet controls visable.

  • @yashahime Yes, you are.

  • @yashahime no ur not, this it my favorite song! but now people will put neitive votes on my comment...

  • What a horrible movie.

  • this shit is scarier than any horror movie i've ever seen !!!!!

  • This can't be real. I don't believe you.

  • ooh ee tai is the code for "lets ruin this movie"

  • I just noticed something else- when Oola falls into the pit, this version is missing 3 shots that were in the original.

  • The CGI is soo FAKE. A huge insult to the original puppeteers who worked hard on this scene. I remember seeing the behind-the-scenes for the original on the "From Star Wars to Jedi" tape. And the original song is much better.

Just get the DVD's that have the originals as bonus discs.

  • they added more cgi , but left her boob popping out in hmmm.....

  • THE MORE LUCAS FUCKS AROUND WITH SW, THE MORE RETARDED IT GETS. THE ORIGINAL WAS A MILLION TIMES BETTER. Lucas is truly a motherfucking hack that stepped on other people's artwork. He didn't even direct this episode.TALENTLESS FUCKER TO THE MAX.

  • @John1386788 WE ALL NEED TO UNITE AND KILL GEORGE LUCAS!, FOR FUCKING OUR CHILDHOOD FILMS AND ROBBING US OF CASH FOR THE PREQUEL SHIT, THE MAN MUST PAY!!!!!!!!!

  • damn this is so much worse than it used to be. it has no ambiance, damn, the extra scenes dont match the gloomy mood of the original cut. it makes me sad i cant get a cleaned up copy of the original versions :(

  • @MarkDangerously At least we have the original versions as bonus discs on the DVD. Not remastered, but at least it's widescreen and much better than the VHS versions.

  • .....yea, I've only ever seen return of the jedi on a grainy VHS recorded from TV....wtf was Lucas thinking with this shit? Trying to make it catchy like a damn pop song? the original was much better.

  • Wow, that's terrible.

  • I really hate you george lucas.

  • NNNOOOoooooooooooo!!!

  • i actually dont mind the song itself, its very catchy actually. but it just doesnt fit in the film. it stands out like a sore thumb.

  • One thing I never understood about this scene is what caused Jabba to drop Oola into the feeding penn. She was just dancing and then she is pulling her chain and then Jabba pushes his button to drop her, what am I missing? What did she do?

  • @thatguywiththeegg

I think the implication is that Jabba is aroused and Oola isn't interested. I can't imagine mating with a hutt would be pleasant for anyone, other than another hutt.

  • @fluffybunny937 I don't think huts very much like it either.

  • I am I the only Guy who actually likes This?

  • @zachzilla26 yes, you are, dipshit.

  • @ZakTheRipper18 Thanks for the Answer, Faggot

  • @zachzilla26 No problem.

  • @zachzilla26 I wasn't going to say anything else, but your page lists Nickelback as your music and yet you call ME a faggot. Oh the lulz. Enjoy your mainstream self-affirming shlock about whores and booze played over the same 4 chords.

  • Downright cringe-inducing.

  • This is the fucking stupidest thing I've ever fucking seen.

  • this segment inspired tina turners career.

  • Thumbs up if you skip this part every time you watch Jedi.

  • Boba Fett is like 'what the fuck is this shit'

  • If there was any indication that George Lucas was out of his fucking mind, this scene proved it in 1997.

  • She is gorgous!!!

  • This song is so STOO-PID! XD

  • SOOO DAMN AWFUL!

The original soundtrack is FAR more Alien-Sounding and funky than this.

This is like that 1950's Diner scene in Episode 2; it totally shatters the atmosphere.

Its a reminder of how badly it SUCKS that Lucas refuses to restore the ORIGINALS and only cleans-up the crappy altered version.

    CONCLUSION:

    Lucas, post 1997 = FAIL!

  • @PabloJalan An acquaintance of mine at college insists that Lucas will eventually announce his DISCOVERY of the theatrical cuts in some vault, and then restore them, selling copies for an outrageously expensive price. He'll just need another decade or two to milk the franchise completely dry before he does that. What do you think?

  • Notice how as soon as the music starts Bobba Fett starts folding his arms.

  • suddenly, the "NOOOOOOOO" doesn't seem so bad. I mean, holy fuck.

  • @KingoffKentucky LOL agreed. People complain about the Greedo shooting but this is much worse.

  • Richard Marquand's rolling in his grave. Way to go, Lucas.

  • "Jedi Rocks" SUCKS.

  • I'm sure most of you now know of Vader's "No... NOO!!!" recently added in the leaked ROTJ Blu-ray, which with that and this scene make ROTJ really screwed. No offense, but I like "Jedi Rocks."

  • @RkivUnderground i like this scene to but i think the darth vader saying no in return of the jedi is stupid im not gonna boycott the blu rays im just gonna watch return of the jedi on dvd instead

  • @TheGodzillaSithLord Don't even do that. Try and find the original edition VHS tapes on eBay, then convert them to DVD so they last longer.

  • you'd think after all the times Lucas has remastered these films, he would have noticed the boob slip at 0:57

  • HORRID! Looks like a crappy cartoon. Who thought this was an improvement?

  • @alexcasey8888 I have the complete list of people who thought this scene was an improvement:

    * George Lucas

  • 127 ppl were eaten by the rancor

  • I don't like how they sing into the camera. Bad idea.

  • @flix2view I couldn't agree more. They might as well say "hello people at home, I'm here to break the 4th wall, just for you"

  • The should've had the little hairy guy sing the whole time.

  • It's really not that bad guys lol

  • 0:30 hahaha "Oo-la-wang choo koo-chee-pa-tie tan-ga ris-pa ta ya lee oh

    Yo, ahh, yal-lie"

  • I don't know why everyone hates it so much. I think it's really awkward but hilarious.

  • I remember when Lucas announced he would be revisiting the OT and I was so excited. "He'll tidy all the effects that look a little dated, add and remaster some of the deleted scenes - it'll be great!" I thought. How wrong I was. He managed to fuck each of them up in ways big and small. Between this scene, shoehorning Hayden in and replacing YubNub with that insipid shite at the end, he royally fucked ROTJ in the sarlacc.

  • @DrZiplock

I thought the end song was so so, but I'll agree that everything else was absolutely horrendous. It's almost as if they knew this because it's the only one of the three that gives you the option of watching the original version instead (wish the same could be said of the other two but they weren't quite as bad). The only scene that was mildly interesting was the Jabba scene in Ep 4, but the effects were pretty bad in both re-edits. I'm better off tracking down the original VHS tapes

  • @balrog13571 I think a lot of Star Wars fans are unaware of the originals being available as bonus discs on DVD.

  • @TheOneartist That's not the point. The point is, Lucas knows damn well that fans of the OT absolutely loathe the special editions, and does that ever hurt Georgie-Boy's feelings! Just to stick it to the fans, for not liking his shitty special editions, he refuses to do what we've been asking him to do for years: digitally remaster and clean up the theatrical cuts, and then release them. This is a case of one man's titanic ego ruining a masterpiece for future generations.

  • @neosoc Yeah, I know how you feel. I was just bringing attention to the bonus DVD's, because some people think the only way are the old VHS tapes.

He makes a shitty excuse for the original versions costing a bunch of money to remaster, when he wasted a bunch of money on this crappy gimmick sequence alone. Most of the films are already remastered, all that needs to be done is remaster the unaltered parts of the film and put it back together.

  • @TheOneartist yeah they were available but they were un-remastered versions to make the quality look poor compared to the special editions.

  • @Jez32uk Yeah, he did that on purpose.

Since I last wrote my comments, I discovered the dark_jedi v3 version. It's a professional fan remastering, and it's amazing DVD-quality. There's a forum that should be able to get you an invite to a torrent site. It's a smooth process. The definitive version of the original trilogy until the originals are officially released, possibly post-Lucas' death.

  • lapti-nek is much better,period.

  • Return of the Jedi is the most fucked up of the trilogy in it's "Special" edition form. This scene, little house of horrors coming out of the sarlacc pit (google "Little house of horrors" kids), the shitty CGI ending without the Yub Nub Ewok song and the Hayden Christensen bullshit at the end. Thanks alot you fat fuck !

  • @dedricthere yub nub was shit

  • @nexahs1 god damn right it was

  • @dedricthere shop of horrors?

  • - 500000 pts from bringing musicals to starwars. GET OUT NOW ! lol

  • I dunno, I always get a chuckle out of how out of place it is

  • what is this......this beautiful thing....

  • 0:56 Wardrobe malfunction

  • WTF @ all the hate? I have this on my iPod O_o

Spent ages looking for a clip of this song, did NOT expect dislikes to be > likes when I finally found it... What's everyone's problem with it exactly? Great saxophone riff and 0:30 can get stuck in your head for days at a time :D It's genius!

  • @hatrickp the problem isn't with the song, it's the fact that it's in this movie

  • @hatrickp Shut up George! :P

  • @luissanchezHD Too loo wellie tookoo chickie pa ta take a wickie ah ah say yo, yo... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, YAAAAAA LAYYYYYY....

    ;)

  • @hatrickp Bwahahahaha!!

  • The first time I saw the movie with this version of the scene in it I didn't know they changed and was quite sure what the hell I was watching! I had been a while since the last time I saw it but I knew my memory wasn't that cloudy.

  • *WASN'T quite sure what the hell I was watching...

  • Lol this was funny :)

  • ... I like it.

    *gets beaten to death*

  • The first time I saw this version was the other day when spike hosted the starwars marathon, anyway the joint I smoked just kicked in around the time when the dance started and I have to tell you, I was saying to myself "What the fuck did I just smoke"

  • The benefit about this song is the "suspense" leading up to Oola's death. It sounds like the backup singers are singing "goodbye," if you listen carefully even though they really aren't. It works. If they just had different vocalists.

  • i'm happy they added this scene! movie was so boring, glad some scenes were gold ^_^

  • 0:35 Is one of the worst things ever to come out of the special editions.

  • urgh.. this is soo no match for Lapti Nek!!

  • pause at 0:23

  • GOD DAMN YOU, GEORGE!!

  • The more I watch this the more I think that George Lucas is going crazy. He added this for what? I can understand wanting it to be less stiff than the original version, but atleast use the CGIs in the original context the puppets were used in. He failed miserably just what 2 years later with Episode 1, and this was basically the same time. I do have to say that II and III were very good but this little era of failure is not just failure, its EPIC FAILURE.Catchy though, and I like Sy Snoodles

  • this is bullcrap

  • Oddly enough... they never fixed the nipple slip on Oola in this scene.

  • remember people this is gonna be in 3D. god help us all

  • I don't actually like the fact that two singers are CGI, but they have some pretty cool designs! Also, this may well be one of the greatest song sequences in Star Wars history!

  • 0:56 Boob slips out of the costume XD

  • BIG LIPPED ALLIGATOR MOMENT.

  • by the way a nice little fun fact about this scene: orginally, Oola still falls into the Rancor pit but we dont see her eaten. But in this version we do. THey were originally going to get a new actress to play Oola in the pit but it turns out the original actress still looks the exact same as she did 15 years ago! Her body hadnt changed a bit

  • Meh. First of all, its not the song that bothers me (though it is rather out of place) The song is fine and kind of catchy. But of course, the CGI is pretty damn bad. Sticks out like a sore thumb

  • What a Great way to Fuck up the cool and darkness that surrounded

not only Jabba the hutt, but Boba Fett, ( flirting!?! Come ON!) and the dancer's death, This new scene is the main reason that i don't ever watch this version...

  • 1:09 Is that Bossk?

  • @PartiaLenina

    holy crap.... that is bossk

  • I find this hard to masturbate too

  • this version is ALOT better than the original sorry... but he did the right thing 'updating' it... and im not being bias i grew up with the original trilogy pre-computer effects and i think touching them up makes a huge difference in a good way.. some things shouldnt of been changed but alot were for the better

  • Is it just me or does anyone else find that green thing with no neck and a snout atractive.

  • @elitemarc365 You mean Sy Snootles? Oh yeah, she's a total babe!

  • @mondoman2016 Even though she looks like a mutant angelfish...

  • @baranguirus ...But with a snout THAT long, I'll bet she gives the best blowjobs!! *ooh la la* ^_^

  • I don't see any reason why he'd change it. This completely ruins the fucking scene.

  • Why'd he change it?!? The original was sooo much better :P

  • I'm not trying to be offensive or anything but Sy Snootles REALLY reminds me of Whoopi Goldberg from Sister Act :p

  • I agree with 3PO at 1:22, Beh!

  • I agree with 3PO at 1:22, beh! this sucks!

  • My favorite part of the movie!! I love that weird cockroach thing and the singer alien thing. I called her ''Snoot''

  • OK, as dumb as this is, it was worse in the original movie.

  • Good lord what was Lucas on when he CGI'd this in. For me this is even worse than Greedo shot first. This has got to be the worst change to the original trilogy except for creepy stare Hayden Christiansen replacing Sebastian Shaw.

  • "POO-NII-TEE!!!"

That means "start ruining the movie!!"

  • The only reason I find this so catchy is playing Assault on Star Wars Battlefront II in Mos Eisley

  • @ffielding haahahha thats exactly what i remember and drew me here

  • I like this song better than Lapti Nek. Yes, I know I'm probably the only person on Earth. Still, Lapti Nek is good, too.
