  • When he came......wow

  • I don't see why fear is needed as a condition as it exist naturally xD... the second that dragon popped and came near i wanted to run away (and what the player did actually xD) away from it asap lol. GW 2 FTFW!

  • lmao they know their audience, they have a character that looks like an anime schoolgirl in this demo XD

  • @iliketha peeedo

  • @TheRandomGuyNextDoor lol i don't mean me when i say their audience, i meant the asian market, where the anime schoolgirl is a popular archetype - this was a demo made for g-star, south korea

  • @iliketha Isnt this is korea?

  • @iliketha you can make anime style characters even in the western version of GW as they said

  • @iliketha yeah they are awesome bitch

  • but what i really want to know is, what if the dragon decided to move 50m to the left. Your defences would be screwed then

  • im not sure its shiny enough for Koreans.. every Korean game i played has an Insane amount of Blinding Shiny Sparkly Glowing things. Although i think damage numbers are about the right size

  • @MonkeyboyGWW This is not a Korean game -.-

  • Ok i get it, but when it dies what hapends when it dies and other people dont get to kill it?

Does it respawn ? O and a another thing the action bars are with buttons 1-9 can you have keybindings?

  • @DODOchristmas yes, you can have keybindings.

  • @DODOchristmas I believe this boss fight only happens at the end of a long event chain, so yes it will respawn later but not very soon though. And yes, you can customize the bindings just as you want to.

  • UG! I cant wait already, wtfuss does it come out

  • THIS IS A MODIFIED DEMO FOR THE KOREAN AUDIENCE AT G-STAR.

Compare to the gamescom or PAX and you'll see the HUGE difference.

  • is there NO one out there....that agrees with me that this game is perfect...but the movement of characters looks like they are floating...not running...

  • @amaterasu159357 GW1 has the same problem, escpecially when you are walking backwards it looks very unrealistic. However if the running animation would look realistic, that would also mean a LOT slower movement, which would be extremely boring. I prefer having an unrealistic animation as long as my character moves fast enough. Besides, you propably won't pay attention to it when you actually play the game, while watching a video it might look weird.

  • Nice looking character. With so many customization options it's going to take quite a long time to crate your character ^^

  • Dont write such a large comments omg -_-

  • uguuuuuuuuuuuu

  • "UHH GUYS, WE HAVE A SHOW IN KOREA COMING UP" - "OH SHIT!! PREPARE THE WHORES!!"

  • damn:( the female armor makes the girls look like cheap whores

  • fuk my life is over when this game comes out

  • STFU and play :)

  • this will be like the game of the year for 10 years

  • i wonder why are so many videos still coming up in 360p... most cameras use higher resolution and to make them bad quality afterwards seems pointless

  • I was always so afraid of Korean GWers appearing in PvP matches I'd qued for. They were always brutal, and unforgivingly quiet about it.

  • That has got to be one of the quickest deaths of a dragon I have ever seen! Freaking attack after attack!

  • @GiveMeThatLetter Its turned down to 'easy' mode because the people have never played the game before, now tell me would you want to spend your 40 mins dying over and over again or spending it all fighting one boss? i dnt think so, i want to explore everything that Anet claims GW2 to be and what they are changing in game.

  • @MrFrostbite4 mate, get on skype plizzz am bored to death ;_;

  • Game show in Korea? Better make sure my character's a female with tentacle-like hair with a miniskirt on.

  • wait...did this guy say they theres a much bigger dragon than this?...woow wtf?

  • I actually think this dragon in not cool at all. I hope to see some traditional looking dragons not some flat muzzled thing. The shatterer gets closer to what a dragon looks like to me, but I don't like that it looks spectral and made of crystals. I love dragons and I just hope they all look more like zaitan than ugly mr. t'quattle.

  • @HisakaRyn Yea, don't you just hare DIVERSITY?

  • However I am a big fan of Skyrim, these dragons pwn the Skyrim ones. I am sorry Bethesda. But this is too much of, I mean seriously: This thing is even bigger than a little appartementbuilding and it isn't even a fucking elder dragon. COME ON! Must we expect a skyscraper on an elder dragon?

  • @Georgeveen Dude... The first horse you can get can tank their dragons...

  • EPIC!

  • Used to play lineage untill i was like 20 something ... and now coming back to mmropg after so many years couldnt hope for something better...its has been 3 months since i first heard of the game and i really really need an adiction once again...

Come to papa...and taste my blade cutting thee...Drulls for some dragon meat....*

  • That might be the most bad ass looking dragon I've ever seen.

  • @worgenzwithm14z its still a medium size one

  • I would like duels as a pvp practise and it's fun vs friends but it will also make the game frustating since duels are the most unbalanced thing in games.

  • I love how Korean gamers (well... players from Asia in general I think) make "standard anime look alike" characters even in games, that have close to zero manga/anime graphic style. It just amaze me, everytime I see it :).

(and I mean it, no irony)

  • Female character model remembers Korean MMOs. I like it though.

  • the hair is so realistic @_@ i keep staring at her hair....

  • guild wars 2 made by korea? many great online games mostly made by korea

  • @HZcyber Arenanet is not a korean company... It's HQ is in north america... its more of a western MMORPG. NCsoft,The publisher, is azian though

  • @HZcyber

they make this demo FOR the koreans

bur the game its from USA

  • Wow. This may be one of the most effective take-downs of Tequatl I have seen to date. Well done, Korean gamers. :D

  • @SuperficialMuffin yes, because they are not so timid then other players are, they rush in and kill kill kill.

many people are scared to die so they stand behind and watch and do 1-2 skills, the koreans read what the skills does and rush in. thats why i like to watch korean players. they just rock in every game.

  • @pRounify actually, no, they don't own every game - they're good in SC and that's that :) Even in GW1 they've been kicked around like empty cans once the USA and the EU guilds picked up the game - some 2 years after release :) If I remember correctly, the Factions Championship was the last, that was dominated by Koreans :) Then it was all iQ :) Generally, they seem to play games, that pay out - they seek professional gaming careers maybe, and if GW2 is such a game, they will own it :)

  • @draganov well, you know why they stopped owning in guildwars 1? because they left. ;)

they didnt got owned, they just lost interest in the game.

and koreans own, not just in games, but in reallife activities aswell.

and did you ever saw some koreans playing other mmorpg's or other games in general? and not only pc games, but playstation/xbox aswell? they are sick

  • @pRounify fair enough :) I think EviL's monks were taken into military and that's why they've stopped. And if the Koreans left, as you said, perhaps it was because GW1 didn't offer professional gaming, with WCG and whatnot.... I dunno... but if they swarm GW2, I really hope I won't meet them in the first 2 years of the game - it was too depressing being every time beaten up within 2 minutes by a korean PUG in Tombs :)

  • @draganov haha yeah, i know what you mean xP

but well, the game will totally new, so when you train as much and as often as the koreans do, you will be awesome aswell, look, in starcraft 2 are many non-koreans awesome progamers and will alot of tournamtens. thats why i'll play pvp from the very start and nolife it at least two years, and maybe after these 2 years i'll play some pve :D

  • @pRounify I wish I could spend so much time in a game now :( By the way, I just though of it - GW2 will be full of mature people - even if you were 16 when GW1 was released, now you are 22 :) My whole guild would be around 30 years old on average :) Having in mind that Anet know us, their players, they will definitely make a something out of it - mature, well done and epic game :) If I ever saw a game, that is perfect in its very idea, that's it :) Cheers, mate, and see ya there ;)

  • @draganov well yeah, i'm 24 now, but still, awesome new games will attract idiotic 12 years old idiots.

look at the beginning of wow, it was new and awesoem to that time, many many kids played it.

same will happen in gw2, many new kids that became 12 will play gw2 when it is released.

in every game are young idiots. look, i know people who play guildwars1 now since 6-7 years. and they are still shit, such people are not meant to play games. such people are overall and destroy the games :S

  • Mmm yeah baby... competition Is what keeps me salivating for this game.

But I've gotta admit that J.C son... I'd pay to play GW2 at Its current state. Beta or not.

  • @Lisledl They didn't say that.. Don't make up stuff.. But everything in this demo is a part of the game.. There is no "Asian version"..

  • @CJI517 I didn't make anything up. If you were an active user of the GW2 forums you'd know. They have said that they have made an 'asian version' of the game with the asian style: faces, hair styles and skin tones at the top if the list. Just because you haven't seen these statements does mean it's not true. Look for them before you comment.

  • @Lisledl No they didn't.. There isn't an "Asian version".. They might have changed the dialog to Korean.. But everything in the demo at Gstar is how the game is.. It isn't just like that for some Asian version of the game.. And i am an active member of the Guild wars 2 "guru" forums.. I also read the post on ArenaNets blog.. And no where did it say they made a Asian version of the game.. Devs even posted in the GW2G forums telling people the same thing..

  • @CJI517 Ohh and those Asian face.. And hair styles you were talking about.. Some were already in the Gamescon and Pax demos.. So yeah.. And if you didn't know.. The first Guild Wars had a campaign that had Asian influences.. So those faces and what not fit the game perfectly..

  • @CJI517 If you'd read every post you would have seen what i've said. They tweeted a blog post at the beginning of G-star saying that the version of the game that was playable had been altered to make the 'asian styles' more obvious and accessible. The asian style character creation was added at G-star - This demo was directed at an asian audience. I didn't say the asian character options were exclusive to the asian version - you just said i did. Factions has nothing to do with this.

  • Note the skimpy armor and silly hair - Anet really are trying to appeal to korean gamers!

  • @Lisledl I Like the skimpy armor and the silly hair styles I sure hope they will have this type of customization for the western version.

  • @superscope27 They will, they released a statement on the forums saying for the 'asian version' of GW2 the 'asian style' character customization will be more easily accessible e.g. asian faces at the top of the list, western faces at the bottom. It will be the other way around for us

  • @Lisledl Thanks for the info that helped out a lot :D

  • @Lisledl i like it ^.^

  • @Lisledl GW and GW2 are published by NC soft.... Korean publisher so yeah....

  • @Lisledl Im pretty use that stuff isn't just for Koreans dude.. And im sure they didn't just make them for a DEMO in Korea..

  • Funny how ANet cater to the asian gaming audience by dressing the avatar like a stereotypical anime/hentai girl. ^ ^

  • @2nd3rd1st Yes, it's called marketing :) They said so themselves, they wanted to appeal to the korean audience by introducing asian faces and customization options (which will all be available to everyone on release)

  • @chromicat Yes, it's interesting, part marketing, part diplomacy. :) I noticed that all character options and quite a few in-game UI designs have been changed since the last western convention demo. I sincerely hope they keep all those options in the western release version! Viva la diversity!

  • @2nd3rd1st Yeah I hope so too hehe! :)

  • I like how the game model is soooooo much slutier than the western gameplay vids....

  • @daymyth

Is that a bad thing? :o

  • I don't see any other race then humans there lol Aw well the Asians usually prefer the pretty sexy avatars, just look at the majority of their games

  • Am I the only one who is kinda disapointed that they've spent the last 2-3 months just to make everything asianized if anything they should've had new content and last profession released not same as PAX and Gamescom but Asian

  • @MrRedflight01 they arent "asianizing" it...we get all this customization too, they were merely tweaking this demo to be more approachable to the asian market because theyre at an asian convention... you dont know they havent been working on new content. they have, you can see improved facial movements, tweaks, etc. and the last profession is in testing. -_-

  • @MrRedflight01 They have more than one team you know, just because they spent a bit of time working on making some asian faces doesn't mean they weren't also working on the 8th profession at the same time. It's not like it took all 250 of them to make some more faces haha :)

  • @MrRedflight01 Are you serious?..

  • It still baffles me how Asians and more specifically Koreans love to grind. Just uurgh. But holy freak. 1:22 - 1:36 YIKES!

  • @kibo357 , like i said they worship grind fest whereas westerns hate grind fest. Aion doing well in asia but horrible in western countries. it just different taste; i think.

  • Bah coreans need games that need to spend 10000000000 hours for be a good player

  • the audience is dead XD

lmaaaoooo fuckin asian people not easily impressed

  • @kibo357 They're showing it to the press, not regular players.

  • They like grind? I always thought the Koreans like competitive gaming. GW2 won't be as popular as Starcraft, that's for sure. But do know that the Koreans used to own in Guild Wars 1. They often won the tombs (called HA now) and kept the favor of the Gods. And remember The Last Pride [EvIL] and War Machine [WM]? They dominated the guild ladder for the first half year and won several prizes. If GW2 has a high level competitive PVP system, I bet they will return andd swarm us.

  • @skizzikwok Koreans _can_ play competitive games, but that's not true for the majority. A lot of them are scrubby, and they like fake skill like grind.

  • @behraambaqai

Ow, really? I didn't know that, thanks for shedding a new light on my view on them. Especially thanks for not shooting me down as an ignorant fool. :)

  • @skizzikwok Oh god, I had forgotten all about War Machine. Those guys were crazy good, loved watching their matches.

  • @skizzikwok They do like grinding. If you look at mmo's that are made in korea or for korean the hole game is just grinding. Only reason i have heard for this is that koreans measure their games in how long they can play them.

  • @skizzikwok the pvp is extremely competitive and balanced, ofc they will love it :)

  • @skizzikwok we all know what level comes after Expert/insane/norris

  • @skizzikwok Yeah my friends Koreans is imba... when they gonna nerfed i wonder...

  • @skizzikwok I like to "Grind" too ;-)

  • @skizzikwok That may be, but we Puertoricans have Swifty :o and several other skilled pvp players :) oh and we have bigger eye coverage so we can see more :O IMBA!

  • hmmm he dosent move..he stays put

  • @TranceDjFate How the hell are you going to get a massive dragon moving around that small place? most properly cause major lagg and may even crash in some cases, they do not have the system for that shit especially the elder dragons are much BIGGER but i heard that Zhitan will be fully interactive w/e that means...

  • @MrFrostbite4 lol major lag? crash? you underestimate pc's boy.

  • @TranceDjFate are you stupid they said themselves that they do that have the machines to make that work, are you blind to how big the dragon really is?? personally that dragon will have to be jumping a few spaces to walk correctly and alot of glitchs would happen due to its size, if you want it so bad go make your own game

  • @MrFrostbite4 Blind? you fucking IDIOT, this is a much smaller dragon than the biggest one...you wont glitch if you make objects unpenetrable jesus l2collision design fucking scrub

  • @TranceDjFate LOL rage much? calm down you little kid, take a deep breath and run around outside a little fucking hell, dnt get angry because dragons wont move, your pathetic but back to the main point Anet said they just simply cant do it because of its size.. you got a problem with it as i said dnt play with the dragons or go complain to them, but stop crying on the video ass wipe.

  • @TranceDjFate "l2collision design fucking scrub" and I'm sure you know how to do this? go ahead impress me ... dickhead i hate people who talk shit on the net but really they are just talk, you think what they cant do you can... just shut up, please spare us all.

  • @MrFrostbite4 LOL wow someone obviously has never set parameters in games hahahah what a fucking idiot!!!

  • @TranceDjFate Yes because every SHOULD be able to do what you can do right?, as i said stop chatting bullshit over the net if you dnt like the idea, GTFO its as simple as abc, why do you get brave when your behind your computer screen? shut up and be quiet you little immature child .. please i hope you dnt get this game i would hate to see people who are up their own asses like you in the community :/ you sound like them Wow kids "bahh this shit sucks and blah blah blah , they should do this .."

  • @MrFrostbite4 YOUR RAGE FEEEEEEEEDS MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAHAHAH SO MAD HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA

  • @MrFrostbite4 what do you expect from "mr frostbite" (wtf)? hahahaha so hilarious.

  • @TranceDjFate I'm never raging I'm just stating facts , you think i get worked up , over an anonymous person? dnt make me laugh, yeah and this is what i expect from "TrancedjFate" lol the most ROFL name ever, but good try though XD

  • @MrFrostbite4 nice spelling? and im a trance dj...ure not very smart are you...i can see why you're so mad at life :( its ok, im sure ull still suck in this game but the guild isint a person, it wont care, go suck away :)

  • @TranceDjFate i never get worked up, if anything it will be the other way round, i dnt know you personally so you could say anything you like, and i will just laugh at how stuipid you really are, lets just face it your really embarrassing yourself , just re-read what you have said

  • @MrFrostbite4 LOL WORKED UP MUCH? hahahahhahaha such a fucking fail

  • @TranceDjFate LOL what has life got to do with this?? you try to insult me yet you don't know the first way to do it lool your not a trance dj your a little kid who's balls haven't even dropped yet and someone who gets brave over the net because they are behind a screen, yeah and you got nice spelling/grammar 2 as i can see :P i never suck at a game, how can you possibly suck at this? but carry on chatting shit because really it' s getting you nowhere, now who is smarter?

  • @skizzikwok The Korean MMO are MASSIVE grind feasts

  • this game is too pro. GG Arenanet

  • oh it in Korea; i bet it not popular there cuz they seem to like grind fest = fun.

  • FINALLY SOMETHING NEW!, RESPECT BROTHA! ;D
