@sukisonic there is only one novel. The series and the films are nothing like the book though. The names are the same and the idea is the same but there are so many differences. Starship troopers is the greatest novel ever written though.

And in a planet with a flammable atmosphere, it can't have much life on it, because as soon as something makes a spark, the planet's atmosphere ignites, killing everything not underwater. Or maybe just above-ground/water life wouldn't exist :)

@sinr666 Hlo makes more sense though. These troopers were trained for the same time as Halo marines and somehow act almost as good as Spartans. Spartans were taken away when they were 6 and trained since. I like them both I just prefer Halo and that's one thing about this I don't like.

Ok I really dont know why everyone seems to think that this was based off of halo. Ok yes there are similarities (Both are based off of the book, this directly, and halo was inspired by the book and the movie aliens) but the graphics are alot older then halo. This came out in 1999 and halo came out in 2001 (I think I forget haha) Just look it up online. This, Starcraft, and Halo are all related but not directly, all have gotten some kind of inspiration from the novel.

Really Bungie took quite a bit from the Starship Troopers book, only a very small portion of inspiration was derived from the Marathon series. I'm actually surprised anybody even remembered Marathon, but really it had little to do with the later release of Halo. The armor is definitely of Starship Troopers origin.
