she'll probably run great and win, however this first time mile and a quarter and the emergence of looking at lucky plus other horses that werent in last yeats cup at SA make this quite interesting--im not a skeptic but a pragmatist---putting all emotion aside its fair to say that this is by far her toughest test and a test that she might definitely pass

Zenyatta is just a big behemoth mare that was God blessed with the stride length and the gears to run down and power by whatever horses, male or female, are in front of her. It really is like God decided to make a perfectly chiseled thoroughbred, who could remain unbeaten. And to prove he has a since of humor, he made her a mare. LOL.

Yes, Zenyatta is a great horse, love this filly/mare. If Secretariat were allowed to race as long as Zenyatta, it would have been amazing. The beauty of Zenyatta is that she was allowed to continue to run and showed us all. Secretariat still RULES. Peace!

Tbreds in general, thank you and the best to you too, I agree 100% I have nothing but fun with the horses and have actually made it a hobby to sit down art night, look over the program, and it just clicks! you can almost script those exotics I jot down the numbers and check the results the next day...I rarely put money on them unless I am at track to pick up overlays on the tote, but it has come to the point after numerous thousand dollar days...Investing may just turn a hobby into a decent ROI

By the way Rip Van Winkle is a better horse than Henrythenavigator. I picked Henrythenavigator to win lasst year but a great ride from Frankie Dettori thawrted my bet. But the US paid no interest in the British or Irish horses you could get a crazy 11/1 for him. The two problems maybe the jockey who didnt ride Santa Anita very well last year and also he has injury problems.

HAHA Zenyatta will destroy Rip Van Winkle, rubbish, Sea The Stars couldnt beat him by much and he maybe the greatest horse that ever lived, so Rip Van Winkle has faced Sea The Stars, stuffed Conduit, beat Paco Boy, Ghanaati, Zacinto, Delegator all true G1 horses, Zenyatta has beat what French Listed placed fillies, give me a break, and I think last year proved European horses act on the surface, last year was all Curlin yet he succumbed to the awesome Henrythenavigator and Ravens Pass.

On form figures Zenyatta does not compare with Rip Van Winkle's check the form, Zenyatta has beaten nothing really, Rip Van Winkle destroyed Conduit a BC winner (and still lost to the greatest horse this decade Sea The Stars, Zenyatta would never have beaten Sea The Stars. Zenyatta's biggest problem is that Rip Van Winkle sets a really fast pace, and keeps at it, look when Zacinto tried to challenge, Rip fended him off then pulled away. Rip Van Winkle is the best horse in the race.

In all fairness to Rip, he was nowhere near 100%. However, I don't believe that it would have mattered. I believe he certainly would have placed better, but I don't believe that he would have beaten the great Zenyatta.

But that still left Summer Bird, Gio Ponti, etc., etc. MTB doesn't count. If your horse isn't 100% you don't run him, much less in a stake race such as that one. If that was the case it doesn't reflect well on the trainer for even sending him to the receiving barn, much less to the starting gate.

There's no comparison between the Breeders Cup works this year compared to last years. She's a completely different specimen this year.

John and Dottie are sly as a fox. They could of challenged the males last year, but decided to wait until she was a mare.
