PS For those of you wanting to marry at the castle it's $25,000 at 7am (off season only) in CA and 28,000 at 8am at Disney World, this price is for ceremony only. For the somewhat wealthy Disneyland CA offers a $100,000 wedding and ceremony at the castle from 10pm-12am, cost of food is extra. Hope this helps those dreaming of a fairy tale wedding with real budgets. :)

you CAN get married in disney world IN the magic kingdom. it's just uber expensive. And even if you get married somewhere else in Disney World, you can still opt for the Magic Kingdom portrait session.

I have been trying to figure out how to do the "wedding plannning book" online and it lists every place to get married except in front of the castle. Is that really rare that people get the chance to be in front of the castle? =\ It's my dream!

It's not that it's rare, the base price is $50,000 JUST for "renting" the spot in front of the castle. I believe it's off to the right when you look straight at it from Main Street, near the rose garden. They usually have them in the morning, I believe.

No, that is if you want to have the ceremony at the castle. The price of a castle photo session is only around 2000. I am having my wedding at Disney in April and it is going to cost around 15,000. So it is affordable, well sort of. :)

Yes, I know. That's what my comment was directed at - having the ceremony there. My comment was based off of what the person above me had said about the entire ceremony taking place in front of the Castle. Weddings at Disney are actually pretty affordable. Especially when you work there ;)
