Oliver Cromwell is not a hero. He is only dictator who wanted to take power and change England. Even though he overthrew English monarchy, he is still horrible in the ways he created his plans. During the English Civil War, he even murdered innocent Catholic priests. During his campaign in Ireland, he murdered about 33% of Catholics. Catholic children were sold as slaves. Even Cromwell, being a Christian, cancelled many Christian holidays. Cromwell will never be a hero.

However what is a known fact which can be documented by actual correspondence, is that Cromwell received funding by a Rabbi-financier in Amsterdam in return for Jewish admittance back into England. So in a nut-shell, if Cromwell doesn't receive Jewish gold, there is no English Civil War or insurrection; Charles I would have remained King and the Jews expulsed another century.

That is right. Cromwell genuinely wanted a deal with the king. He certainly didn't want an end to the monarchy, but Charles was a hard man to deal with.

@zedthreefourfive I do not believe everything that I read in books, my opinions are kept to myself, mainly because on the likes of youtube it is pointless in voicing that opinion as all it will do is cause arguements among people who do not even know each other. The facts are that Cromwell was a fundamentalist and a sociopath. Do not pretend that you are teaching me lessons. Try being less arrogant, you'll have a happier life.

My comment was to warn others to be wary of comments of the type you make & instead to seek their own evidence, from more original sources. Decide on your facts. There is significant distance between being a murderer & a war criminal to being a fundamentalist & sociopath .

@celticultural i wouldnt say that. instead, i would say that oliver cromwell was one of those none too rare men in history who realized that civilized culture and religion are perfectly reconsilable with mass murder.
