As a pipe smoking newbie, I'm finding your series on pipe packing to be very helpful.

I seem to have no trouble with a virginia blend I'm using, but am struggling with an aromatic. Which method would you recommend for this kind of tobacco?

What type of cut is the blend?

The Three Step Method works on almost every type of cut that there is. Try packing the tobacco a little looser.
