Yes if there is a problem with your ipod and you need to return it you probably have to restore it and then return it because your warranty is void once you jailbrak. but like I said just restore and return

just a quick question I jailbroke my ipod on 2.2.1 now if i want to update my ipod to 3.1.2 if i do that do i need to re jailbreak it and if so how do i get rid of the old jailbreak

Yes you would need to rejailbreak but it is very easy with this new program. Just follow the instructions in this video and you should be fine. You can even get the new 3.1.2 Firmware without having to pay for it
