@sergej992 I heard Ashkenazy live many times and played under him in an orchestra when he was soloist in two incredibly brilliant concertos and when he conducted. I have enormous respect for this very humble friendly man.
Not even close to any of Gavrilov's recordings.

There is no comparison to Ashkenazy's performance of the rach 3. i hold this performance nearest to my heart and soul in my music collection

Vladimir Ashkenazy has incredible deep understanding of Rachmaninov.This is amazingly good.
