  • it's on my summer reading list this year...i heard it's AMAZING. I can't wait to read it!

  • They should be more books like this! Very inspiring and to know that a book can change a persons life is extrodinary, the author must feel good about herself! :D

  • wonderful book.

  • I've seen the book in several bookstores. I'd like to buy it/read it. :)

  • AH! She's just the most amazing writer, I mean, really . . . she can make a fantasy book out of a realistic one, and art out of words! I LOVEEE her books, and I'm halfway through Wintergirls. It's AWESOME.

  • I started reading this book by accident. My aunt got it for me, and I love it!! I'm 12, and love it!

  • I love this book! I'm only 12, but I love it!

  • the book is really amazing.. they have to make a movie out of it

but i almost passed out at the part where she cut herself.

i have an irrational fear of blood. lmao.

  • this book is amazing. it changed the way i think about everything. the writting is amazing too.

  • hey everyone! if you love this book, check out my channel! my friend and i made a trailer for wintergirls and entered a contest. we did not win unfortunately, but it was fun! check us out! :)

  • ...and the writing is brilliant as well. Parts of it are like prose poetry. So beautiful and true.

  • I'm glad she admitted that she had some disordered eating habits. When people we look up to aren't afraid to talk about things like this, it lets us know that we needn't be ashamed for our struggles.

Laurie Halse Anderson really gets it. I'm in my early 20's and still love reading all sorts of YA fiction, but Laurie's books are the ones that I recognize myself in. This was what I felt like as a teen (even though I didn't have an eating disorder). Thank you, Laurie.

  • This book is amazing. I found it really hard to read because even though I'm not annorexic, I did see a lot of myself in Lia, and a lot of my best friend in Lia's best friend. Reading this book helped me work up the courage to get the help I need.

  • She and her books, especially Wintergirls, are amazing. This book can make so many people more aware of the reality of an eating disorder.

  • This book is amazing
