At 2:28, when I go there in my game, the floor is covered with water, there are no platforms, and the door is locked. What did I miss?

You have to activate a set of bomb slots to drain the water. I do that in Part 4 after getting the Morph Ball Bombs.

i took me like 5 minutes to discover how to kill a chozo ghost and all it took was your normal beam
