I have been waiting for this for over a year, the video looks great i hope the game will be just as great when it finally comes out and will be worth the money to play if for a while to come. i am a HUGE Star Wars fan so I don't want to be disappointed.

@XxSrBiNxX They still look really nice, I've watched alot of gameplay vids and the graphics are very beautifully stylized. Remember they're trying to achieve something that still looks good in 7 years. They're not going for ultra realism, they're going for artistically beautiful. Just like GW2, it's the same ethos.

I for one will be really happy to play a completely voiced RPG that has massive multiplayer capacity.

@XxSrBiNxX It's kind of like WoW, I went to play it for the first time this week, and although the gameplay is stale and the quests are boring and there i no voice acting... It's still reasonably nice visually, even though the game in 7 years old. And after you play it for a while the graphics hardly become a major factor as your brain starts auto-filling in for you and the game looks better than first glance (I forgot the name of the psych principle)

@XxSrBiNxX Oh, I couldn't agree more about the management incompetence at EA, I'm sure if they weren't so incompetent this game probably would have only cost $200million.... I don't care if they don't make a huge profit, I just want them to make enough of a profit to continue and to keep making more content for the game. Nyway if it fails I still got to play it and then I can just play GW2...

@daymyth Yeah I totally also agree with you, I'm gonna defin. play GW2 as I am an old Gw1 since beta player where I got all my titles maxed out and filled my Hall of Monuments 50/50, but I wanted to play SWTOR cause I really got dragged in by it and I wanted to get the Collectors Edition but now ... I honestly don't know if I am going to buy the game at all....

Got in beta but got kicked off relevantly soon because of me leaking. All i could say is that the game is addicting, fun, good, and has an "it factor." The only thing i dont like is that theres no Anti Analsing in the beta which is horrible. Apart from the fact if your a fan of RPGS, bioware games, or MMO's throw down your fanboyism and get this game. There doesnt have to be a better game. All if has to be is fun!

@RedOrcCalumbo I tried WOW for the free trial period and simply could not get into it. I can't really speak about comparing the two, but I can say that TOR goes beyond WOW by crafting a unique game experience based on your actions. End game content will be based on decisions you make early on. In WoW, you are more or less along for the ride, watching game events from an almost disconnected point of view. Sure you take part in killing boss mobs over and over, but nothing you do really matters.

@louisgworld I disagree about some of the titles. Bdlands, while great, is simplified stylized graphics requiring much less animation. Obliv is dated and does not meet the standard of the other titles. The rest? Well most of them are simple linear progression games that require less animation to make them look better. I am not defending TOR, I honestly believe it's graphics are suffering from the 4year+ development time, but I think comparisons should be kept to MMOs not console shooters.

@louisgworld And you are a rude child. I tried to converse with you and this is your response. Typical. Half of the games you listed, including space marine and the Bdlands titles ARE very linear. Bdlands does well at almost transcending that moniker though. You mention 11 games, taking Bdlands out of the discussion, most of the games remaining are indeed linear and some are not even released. I also suggested we compare TOR to other MMOs because the games are very different from console FPS

I'm glad I didn't lecture you about using proper punctuation and caps. :) I use FPS as a more generic term that envelops most of those titles. Space Marine, GoW, Bdlands, even Oblivion. You are guy running around shooting/stabbing stuff. Whether it is over the shoulder or through the actual eyes of the character matters not. I think that console is the key word here. But you are lumping all video games together, so I digress.

@FarnumWarren That was the point I was trying to make. You cant compare a FPS that does not render entire worlds with static obstacles that will be interacted with by thousands of people at a time. Most of the games he listed don't even have online coop and any online presence at all is confined to warzone type PVP. To truly compare TOR, I think we need to look at it compared to games like Rift and WoW.

I wish it was'nt an MMO I own knights of the old republic and played kotor 2 for xbox and am playing kotor 1 right now and it came out in 2003.It should be a great game I heard they spent 134 million dollars to produce it the most of any game to this point.
