@thebrowniesaur22 Well. she may be tempermental in person,& perhaps not necessarily the easiest to get along with! She wrote a bunch of Mazzy songs referring to relationship difficulties,which may give another clue.Although it appears she & Colm O'Ciosoig, her Irish boyfriend (husband?) of 10+ years likely get along together well. Her voice & melodies sure are pleasing to listen to ("melodious", yes.She has a genius for writing melodies, imo).Who knows what she'd really be like to hang out with?

@thebrowniesaur22 That reminds me of an article I saw online somewhere noting her record company people soon learned a little trick for getting often tense Hope into a better, more relaxed & talkative mood: Have a bottle of wine handy & pour her a few glasses, as wine's apparently her therapeutic medicine of choice! Some YT commenter noted Hope often makes references to wine in her song lyrics. Hey, better wine (in moderation) than crack cocaine or i.v. heroin!

In a '09 concert(Filmore,SF)after some sound issues,Hope says "I need a glass of wine!"

A more recurring theme is water- not as a fave beverage- I've counted 10 references to rivers,lakes,or ocean in Hope's songs,which I find appealing...I picture Hope sitting happily next to a river,guitar in hand,working on a new song,with a glass of good wine beside her!...I think I'll invite Hope to join me on my next canoe trip!

@ayundame Good call on "bottle of wine".I can hear that's it for sure.I think you're likely right on"fine" too, so I've updated the lyrics with both those corrections.Thanks.I'm not yet convinced on "jacket"/"jack" 'cause I don't hear a hard consonant there like "j". If there's a consonant there, it may be a softer sounding one(s) like "f" , "th", or (?). Btw a Hope bio piece I saw lists "vintage wines" among her hobbies, so it's something she might want to mention in a song!
