I got this around its release since my wife and I are both TNG fans. I haven't played a ton yet, but every time I have it seems to irritate people. The big problem is that it's sort of difficult to see what direction to go in: only 3 cards grant XP and the rest all have unique effects. The beginning takes forever as people avoid the space deck until they're more powerful. Multiplayer wars are fun, though. I don't hate the game, but I think Thunderstone is a bit more developed/play-tested.
I don't think we would have lost in our 5 player borg game, I just don't think we would have ever won. We had trash collecting down pretty good to manage the borg cards, but our decks were too diluted with unneeded cards to be able to defeat Locutus.
nice review. and next time don't set the camera on the table. every time you touch the table the video shakes. other than that i like it and i will wait patiently for more.
