Would you tell me the brand of the mortar and pestle...I have not been able to find one with the four handles which would really help with holding and turning. Thanks for the great video!
@TexasLovesValentina Hi! This is Meghan with DeLallo. This was a product of Williams-Sonoma. In fact, I believe I found the exact one right on the website, currently. Check it out.
@drbayoms I guess that's true. I suppose I'm just pretty lazy and since I wouldn't be making this for others, just for my own enjoyment, I wouldn't care about color. You have a good point though. If I were taking this to a party I would probably do that extra step. :)
I have to say you know your food.I'm very impressed.I like how you describe the difference between Mediteranean pine nuts and other kinds. Also how you explain why it is best to use the mortar and pestle.I'm wondering if I could make a batch of pesto and then store it in Jar in the fridge.I realise that food tastes better fresh, but am curious about storage of homemade pesto.
Could you advise on any storage practices you may have, thanks.

Why would losing color be important? All that matters is if it tastes good.

Great food should excite the eyes as well as the palate.
