The distinction between herbivores and carnivores is more of intelligence and speed whether than what they prefer to eat, it's all part of the food chain.

Problem is your definition of stupid or slow. I've never seen an anteater go particularly fast, and all animals of about the ant eater's size seem to be roughly equal in intelligence. But I could be wrong.

The way you worded your original response made me think you somehow considered carnivores always "superior" to herbavores, whatever that means in your head. That's where I call BS.

I reckon it may take a fair amount of intelligence for the creature to know where itself may have grazed or not, and if and when the area might be replenished, if the area hasn't been visited by others, etc. I'm thinking elephants here, perhaps if only hypothetically, since when they eat, they pretty well clean the trees up. After an area has been grazed, there may not be food there for years, IIRC.

By the way, that comment I said applies to humans too.. Beleive it or not, meat contains certain things we need to stay sharp and smart, regardless of our ability to "catch" it with no effort, such as a cow eating grass..

@littlerocket215 Actually if you can see the bones on cows then it's starving unless your blind even if you look at it you won't know how heavy it is, so this cow is probably starving, cows need to be fed often in a field with grass not in place where theres just the dirt.
