Almost totally forgot this existed until I came across the CD in my garage the other day and started playing it. Brings me right back to those simple and irreponsible college days. I love how she can hit those high notes and then keep taking it even one notch higher, like at 2:06 and 2:43!
Wow. I feel 16. I am attending Summer School. Tahoe South. the Pogues. This only means something to me. I love hunkpapa. Please make Kim Kristen and Tanya make a record. The Earth might forget what an axis is, but...please.
Look, I love Throwing Muses and Kristin Hersh in general. But these clothes....My God! The ladies look like members of Heart in the "These Dreams" era, and Dave looks like he should be in Jesus Jones. haha. Well, I guess we all looked a bit ridiculous back then. I used to wear a Minor Threat sleeveless muscle shirt, tie-dyed denim shorts and cowboy boots. Haha.
I love Tanya's guitar playing! and to think she was only 22 or 3 there - cool! And she still makes wonderful music. Kristen's great, I really enjoyed seeing her in concert twice in 07, but Tanya will always be my favourite muse!
oh man...what I wouldn't give to go back in time to be there to see them live! I was just 1 when this song was released though, I have been listening to TM, Kristin Hersh and FFW for a few years now and I am hopelessly obsessed!
The great thing about youtube for me is watching live renditions of songs I loved during my teenage years. I'm particularly fond of clips of live renditions from TV programmes rather than concerts. If I saw that a cool band was playing on a particular programme I'd put in my 'music' video tape and be waiting ready to leap up and press record to capture their performance. This clip takes me back, not just to the music but to my relationship to it at the time.
A better sound than matey's on the other channel, but being live a bit too strident and all for my delicate taste. Takes me off on a wee ride all the same.
Great sound. This band should have a shelf full of awards. This sound is not only catchy, it's immaginative and innovative. Hersh and Donelly are so under-rated in 80s and 90s pop.
Love it!

Really cool live version of a Muses classic. Nice to find a well recorded and filmed live track from back in the day.

Wish the guitars were mixed up a little higher. They are much more prominent on the record.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
What a pretentious, artsy-fartsy, talentless group of Natalie Merchant wannabees.
