  • Beautiful...

This is the kind of music that inspires me.

I'm 16, and I'm wirting an online book.

Clint Mansell is the artist that inspires me the most, thank you so much!

  • @DodaCore Clint Mansel: "Anytime, man!"

I haven't even SEEN the movie and this movie is beating me to a pulp with its emotional power. This is probably one of the most power scores I've heard, sweet lord this is great.

  • @612354oxy8 you don´t trully understand the psichological (duno how to write it properly...) mechanism of humor, or it´s porpuse, you must admit that..... as even the simpliest things, tought to be too simple, are infact the most complicated and unkonw of all..... just think about it mate ;)

  • Who am i.... where did i came from.... what must i do..... the answers are all inside my soul but with the door locked.... this music is the key i´ve been looking for...

  • thats real music. the feeling is in the full body.

  • These are the movies I love. Movies that actually make me think, and aren't just the same old shit over and over again.

  • This score, that explosion, that beauty...personally, I believe it can rival even Requiem (not saying it beats it but it can definitely compete). Clint Mansell, no need whatsoever to say this, but I'll say it anyway. You sir are a musical genius!

  • 4 people listen to Lady Gaga.

  • @Migueria I listen to Lady Gaga, but I will never dislike anything by Clint Mansell. I listen to them both, and I regard both Clint Mansell and Lady Gaga as very talented and extremely inspirational people. So, why post a sophomoric comment to a masterpiece of a maven?

  • @TheWeirdcrap I don't understand how members of the same humankind that researched distant planets and developed a way to send and receive information through millions of miles convulsively laugh at jokes in which someone or something gets put down. Unfortunately, the motif in sociology and psychology is "We, human beings, are imperfect". But why do we magnify this flaw through the Internet?

  • @612354oxy8 the answer lies in the origin of humor and empathy itself, humor servers the porpuse of releaving the stress and connect beings, and with the evolution of intelligence it has become a path to spiritual and fisical freedom, something that completly questions and ignores the rules, there are time that we must be serious like all those things you´ve said, and times to laugh, like the universe suggests, there must be allways a ballance...

  • Death IS immortality.

  • @EuphoriaLacrymosa

    I wish it was.

  • One of my favorite songs ever.

  • @jonahfox A song has lyrics. But I can see what you mean. This is outstanding.

  • Comment removed

  • @VenomShock okay, musical piece, soundtrack, you get the idea.

  • @VenomShock what the hell are you talking about?! So Beethoven's 5th isn't a song because it doesn't have lyrics? Are you retarded? A song is a piece of music, regardless of whether or not it has lyrics.

  • @DocHoncho Correct. A SONG involves singing. A song does not need to have music, it can be just voices singing, or it can be accompanied by music.

This is not a song. It has no singing involved.

Look it up before you get your testies in a bunch,

  • @VenomShock who cares, music is art...and art is ambiguous, you can't define it because that would just be a statement made subjectively, and it doesn't reflect how other interpret it, and especially how the artist meant it to be interpreted(a great artist leaves open interpretation) unfortunately there are many people that have opinions based on what is a popular opinion, but most just stick to mainstream in fear of rejection...xenakis blows away rihanna(but many would say he is just noise!)

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 I'm not defining music subjectively.

A song involves singing. That's why it's called a song. Just like film requires something having been filmed (that definition sure has been stretched, though).

You're getting way too philosophical about this. I think you've misinterperted it.

A song involves singing. That's what makes it a song. That's what makes it a song. Singing. And that is what I've been saying.

  • @VenomShock i'm sorry, i wasn't trying to say you were...i was just saying who cares about the difference between a song and music, because a band that sings has the potential to be just as musical or even more than an instrumental band...singing or not singing doesn't increase or decrease the value....but for the majority they can't stand instrumental bands, i hate it when people are like "when the fuck are the vocals gonna come in?!" i didn't misinterpret, i offered my view of music!

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 I think you did misinterperet it.

All I was saying is that a song DOES involve singing. I didn't say that affects the value of the music in any way. Purely that you can't call something "song" unless it has singing. Because that is what a song is.

Sure, offer your views about music. But you're blowing this up into something completely unrelated to what I'd said.

  • @VenomShock nothing is unrelated....life is about the unexpected wonders and revelations....you keep repeating yourself, we've already evaluated that you are correct and that i was NEVER disagreeing with you, nor was i misinterpreting...i explained myself by saying that on top of me saying how i felt about your comment by saying "who cares" i then went on and shared my views....so who is the one misinterpreting things?

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 Yeah. You're trolling.

Jesus, this was silly. You're obviously the one who misinterpereted it. I was correcting a definition. And you turned it into an incorrectly philosophical mesh of nonsense.

I think you should just stop trying, dude.

  • @VenomShock so that ranting was nothing personal, it wasn't a reflection on how i felt about your comment....there's only so much that i can fit in a comment.....i'm denying that a song is about singing because it is.....but you must realize that people aren't used to calling instrumental music a PIECE(or arrangement) like they did back then....people nowadays find it pretentious sounding and they care too much about looking and sounding cool!

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 Uh.... yeah......

A Song IS singing. That's what a song is defined as. A "piece" that involves singing. That's all I'm saying, gerdamnit. A song is singing. If it doesn't have singing, it's not a song.

  • watching "the century of self" will elaborate what i'm talking about.....it shows the cause and the growth of this new social development...in the golden age people just came as they were, there wasn't any straight/gay, cool/uncool, successful/loser...but people have a strong desire to put labels on things because it lets the rest of the world see who you are(as if a common interest, fashion taste, or thought process really defines your human characteristics...people have lost their souls!)

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 See? What the fuck does this have to do with what I said at all?

    Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooothing. Ever. Forever.

  • @VenomShock it scares me how nobody cares anymore....you're being incredible immature and self righteous about this....you obviously don't understand and you are blind! what's point in only having a conversation based on what is being talked about....if you stuck to that method you'd be no better than gossiping groups....nothing would ever progress....people have to change up the topic of conversation, this is how you keep moving forward...sadly what i talked about was just babbling to you!

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 Yeah. Great.

    Whatever you say.

    Which was silly.

  • @VenomShock trolls only motivate me more.....i pity the blind and arrogant fool!

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 Self-pity is not a healthy thing.

  • @VenomShock you're only making yourself look more like a fool for continually trolling....hahaha i looked at your profile and your face speaks for itself.....and i appreciate your racism, it really adds an exponentially higher amount of arrogance in you....i would expect that sort of thinking from white trash....what is wrong with you? you are making me sad, i can't talk to you anymore, don't even reply!

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 I can hardly type this because of laughing so hard.

Also: My picture is from a wonderful film by John Carpenter called "Big Trouble in Little China".

    Where's my racism?

    Come on, troll better!

  • @VenomShock no it was a video of you talking like a goober! it even says VenomShock returns with an awesome announcement...you are a very socially awkward person, you talk like a goober, you look like a goober, and you act like a goober...no wonder you live your life behind a screen and a camera.....that's the last you get out of me cause i said i wouldn't reply...have fun in life, sorry to stoop to your level, i'm a very loving person and i still have faith in you!

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 I thought you said it was a picture.

Also: Good, no more replies. Because you're a big silly pants. I AM a very socially awkward person, but that's because I hate my current generation. Type properly, turn your cell phones off in the theatre, and for fuck sakes cut it out with the acronyms "lol".

I live my life behind a camera because I love films and filmmaking. It's been my passion for years, it feels right, and it feels comfotable.

You've yet to rise to my level.

  • @VenomShock i said "i went to your profile and your face speaks for itself"(i never clarified, but on the other comment where i did, i specifically said it was a video) i don't care about typing correctly, just spelling correctly...but i do know proper grammar, and its place is for essays and resumes! now that is the final comment....i can't imagine there could be another thing you can nitpick to make me appear as if i made a mistake.....if you can think of one i congratulate your intelligence!

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 You said you weren't going to reply, you unintelligent swine!

You don't know proper grammar and you know it. Quit being silly. Silly pants.

Give up. You're just embarrasing yourself.

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 @VenomShock

stop ruining the music with your comments

  • @epofreak if they user truly cared about off topic or rude comments he would make sure that the comments are first sent to him for approval....since that is not the case everybody has freedom to talk about whatever they want....it's not spamming since this isn't a blogging, or forum site....those sites have topics.....only imaginary rules decide that comments should only be about the video....venomshock is the one trolling....what do you listen to? i could name great bands with a similar sound!

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 Okay, regardless of the "imaginary rules," everybody should just chill the fuck out and listen to the damn music!! If you listen closely, clear your mind and drop your ego, you'll notice something very interesting about Clint's music!! Its peaceful and relaxing.. Therefor, shouldn't the comments also be peaceful and relaxing?? Correct me if I am wrong but if you really strive to show your intelligence to the world, arguing like a bunch of children isn't the way to do it! Namaste

  • @xXxDjShamblesxXx @xXxDjShamblesxXx venomshock has the bigger ego.....and again that's YOUR opinion on what comments should be about.....i'l repeat, if the user truly cared about off topic comments, or about an argument spamming their comments page then he would force all comments to first be approved....go and read my first comments, i was very reasonable and calm....and that is why i chose to ignore him because he just wants to troll!

  • plus this is youtube...many people will come across my comments, and that is motivation enough for me to continue conversing with a fool like you....so it's not rambling or a waste of my time....if it weren't for me many people wouldn't know about "the century of self" and most importantly Jiddu Krishnamurti!

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 Jesus Christ, talk about self-righteous.

But it doesn't matter. You're a troll. But you're entertaining me.

  • @VenomShock it doesn't matter what you say, others can clearly see that you are the troll here!(unless of course another person decides to troll me by siding with you lol)

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 Yeah. Okay.

  • @VenomShock and thinking in that way only limits what you can learn...why get so upset that i am trying to show you something different...the century of self documentary can be a life altering revelation if you take the time to comprehend it...it causes you to see society differently and it will motivate you to stay true to yourself and teach others this same way of life! read some Jiddu Krishnamurti quotes...that person is THE GREATEST man alive...every quote of his manages to be life altering!

  • @xxxslayerxxx666 I'm not getting remotely upset. What gave you that idea?

I don't listen to Mr. Derka Derk.

I listen to people I actually give a damn about. Like Hitchcock, and Kubrick.

  • @VenomShock So, if a proper song must have lyrics, what then are the multitude of symphonies written by the west's most celebrated composers? If Beethoven added "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard" would that make the classical canon "music"?

  • You've swallowed too many red pills, pop music does not define the extent of "music in general".

So keep thinking Justin Bieber is the epitome of MUSIC, keep quiet and leave the rest of us to our lush history of Music, as rendered by countless generations of humanity.

  • @DocHoncho Uh... no.

I don't listen to that junk. I am merely going by definition. Music can be a song or an instrumental piece or both. A song involves singing and can include an instrumental piece or just be singing. The reason it's called a "song" is because there is singing involved. That's why the word "Song" and "sing" look and sound exactly alike and accompany each other.

But most of that could be figured out by common sense.

  • @DocHoncho you can interpretate only in english. for example 'piosenka'(song) and 'śpiewać'(sing) don't look the same and don't sound the same :)

  • @dismelwarrior Neato.

  • painful and beautiful.

  • Clint Mansell's headlining the music production for Mass Effect 3. After reading that, I hopped over here to see what he was about. I, for one, am looking forward to it.

  • I hear this track as backing to film and TV promos all the time, in fact heard it again just this evening which is why I'm back here listening to the soundtrack again and again...it's soft sorrow and exquisite pain carried with piercing passion and delicate refrain..it's willingy suffocating in black velvet with tears falling like warm rain

  • This is the Sound of this Time...I will cry...I cry...Alles Gute für uns alle...!!!

  • During this film, she talks of planting a tree over her grave, one day I was meditating, long before I had seen this film, and during my meditation I experience exactly what she describes, when I awoke from it I decided I would do that when I died, when I heard it being described in the film, I was in awe... could there be more meaning behind what I had experienced during meditation, have others also experienced this?

  • @SirRecluse This movie is about KARMA. They have lived many lives together through reincarnation as he goes with the same struggle; Trying to SAVE HER LIFE. Sometimes i feel that i'm doing the same thing again. trying to make it better this time. watch( PROJECT CAMELOT DOLORES CANNON) interview

  • The Fountain= Amazing movie. I didn't understand the plot line at first, but after a few views I began to realize what Aronofsky was trying to portray and it's quite a beautiful message. I'm recently dealing with the loss of my grandfather and, albeit strange, the movie actually somewhat helped me come to terms with his death. The music was also a big help. Giant thumbs up

  • yea i did notice that too, just saw it a couple of hours ago and then started watching the fountain bc i couldn't get the score outta my head....

  • Just saw Pirates of the Carribean on Stranger Tides. Did anyone else notice that the theme prevalent in most of the soundtrack's songs (example in this song at 2:23) is in that movie prolifically as well? Possibly a send-up since both movies heavily involve a fountain of youth/life as a MacGuffin.

  • @ziegogoboy I saw PotC4 and knew I had heard that tune before. It took me weeks to remember it was this track

  • 4 people have never heard good music.

  • 4 people ain't got any souls!

  • i'm seeing stars behind closed eyes.

  • If you're high while you listen to this..it's just the best experence ever.

  • Is it just me or does this movie sort of represent hallucinogens? And I do not mean, let's watch it while tripping. I mean the story or what not as well as the 5th dimension theme going on.....

  • @Benjammin62 That would make sense, but I think the central idea is humanity's inability to accept mortality. All three Toms were obssessed, in one way or another, with not necessarily the preservation of life, but rather the prevention of death. Isabelle's character represents how, when we begin to fully accept death as a natural occurence, life becomes that much more beautiful and treasured. That was the significance of the "First Snow" scenes. He finds sorrow in his pursuit; she finds peace

  • i feel i have something here...

  • three people are idiots

  • Im crying

  • Clint Mansell has got to be my favourite composer. This, 'Requiem for a dream' and 'Together we will live forever' are easily my favourite songs at the momment. And I'm so going to learn 'em on the piano... =)

  • that music is a road to awe!

  • 7:32: The whole world waits.

    7:36: Explosion.

  • @liveforlife2494 that's my favorite part! it's so intense

  • So much hatred in my veins when I listen to this...

  • So much hatred in my veins when I listen to this...

  • Amazing!

  • superbe music elle nous transporte ! bravo

  • You know it's been a successful propaganda campaign when 3 centuries after their dissolution a group of German democratists are still being reviled as devil worshipers out to overthrow the good and orderly life of the average citizen.

  • @Yaimea Ok.

  • When the volin melody comes in at 4:05 its gives me goosebumps and I start shiver from the sheer emotion this simply melody makes u feel....

  • @BenTheWizard1085

That's the tree of life provoking it :)

  • 2:25 gives me the chills

  • @ganon840 same dude, funny thing i read that right when it happened

  • @WomanOfDarkDesires92 Who the hell is Howard Shore?

  • @19GirlBad Howard Shore is the composer of the Lord of the Ring - Soundtracks!!! <3

  • all the fucking trolls should piss off if they have nothing to say about The Fountain or Clint Mansell

  • @aroundtheworlda Actually the Islamic propaganda are being used because the 9/11 was an inside job. The US and UK want oil from them and take the land Land of Babylon where the Devil was born.

  • long live Clint Mansell and Hans Zimmer!

  • @19GirlBad

    And Howard Shore :)

  • The Fountain is a great movie, watched 4 times in one week - it's emotional but still a complex mind puzzle.

  • BTW for any gamers out there, Clint Mansell has been confirmed as the composer for Mass Effect 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is already going to be the best game ever just got better!

  • @SmegHead117 Wow...you don't know how sweet that news is to me! Thanks!

  • Clint Mansell best movie soundmaker ever! i love all his soundtracks

  • Clint Mansell is truly the most dramatic composer of our lifetime.Through his eyes I truly can see a little bit of eternity.

  • I finally watched the film! It was amazing, so different from all the movies I've ever seen! It's full of emotion, art, an outstanding way to tell a story through 3 perspectives and it has great music! Bravo to Darren Aronofsky for this!

  • I poop when I listen to this

  • Fuck The Arrivals. Complete conspiracy theories no solid hard facts. Just dumb imagination running wild and islamic propaganda.

  • @aroundtheworlda the arrivals used this soundtrack which has been written for the movie The Fountain (same guy who made black swan)

  • @stravvberry Yep I know

  • fully diffrently film and music..it really PERFECT""

  • This music made the wonderful series "The Arrivals" have so much more impact on everyone then if it would have on it's own.

  • if you have not seen this film watch it trust me it will move you in one

way or another...it is what art should truly be : expressing emotions in a way words cannot unlike all these mainstreams garbage movies

  • @Royalz13 I´m DEFINETELY gonna watch this movie. I´ve already seen parts of it and it was just overwhelming.

  • stop spamming about this documentary and enjoy the music for what it is!

  • ARRIVALS 4 EVER!!

  • Having not seen this movie, I still really like this piece. I must say it can't really beat "The Tree of Life." That theme will be stuck in my head for years.

  • easily the greatest piece of music i have everhead and with the film it makes so much sense. Clint mansell is that rare genius who can convey sorrow, love, anger, passion and more in one 9 minute track than most composers ever do This music is not just great music its a piece of art and is just incredibly beautiful yet i feel i am still doing it a great justice

  • I cry when I listen to this

  • @picchi93 Me too :(

  • @picchi93 sshhhh... me too baby. me too.

  • @picchi93 thats not very manly, YOU WOMAN

  • @poop12345poopable who cares ???

  • Comment removed

  • @poop12345poopable I hope for you that this is a joke, because if you think you must not cry to be manly, then you are just pitiful.

  • It starts to suck after 8:26

  • @zakaryasx our marching band did this show... it was amaing... almost made it to national finals

  • @loveornolove Oh nice do you have the video for it?

  • @loveornolove Almost? I didn't know deaf people could judge musical pieces.

  • @zakaryasx This is what happened,

"This guy thinks the song sucks?! I WILL KILL HIS ENTIRE FAMIL-.... Oh wait, I see what he did there..."

  • @badCowfish Lol, Clint Mansell is awesome and this is a great song!

  • This is one of my favorite movies of all times!

They should make more movies like this!

    They're wonderful for our souls!

I love the film, I love the soundtrack!

    Super extra amazingly perfectly done!

  • The Arrivals !!!

  • Great music and great story

but don't try to make ppl beleive in your own ideas

  • saw this movie 2 days ago, and i gotta say one of the awesomest movies i've seen in my life. the soundtrack made it better. even my dad loved it. love this music. i listen to it every day. its just soo beautiful

  • 7:36 to the end the best moment of this amazing song !!!!!! Thank You Mansell for this score.... Thank You Aronofsky for this film !!

  • "death is the road to awe" even the title shows that afterlife is real

nice one clint mansell, hope ppl get the meaning

  • I hear this song and it's like I'm going through that dying star.

  • songasm at 7:36

  • I love how this masterpiece literally leaves me breathless at the end. Ahh

  • can someone please tell me what the heck is ' the arrivals ' i see it mentioned in like all of these videos... im just curious. i want to know what its about, or what it is even .

  • @sk8terbandgeek17 Don't even bother. It's a Muslim conspiracy theory video series. It has concepts from other conspiracy theory videos like Zeitgeist and vids by Alex Jones, etc. The guys who made the videos used Clint Mansell's music from The Fountain soundtrack. Which is why you see all these annoying comments *sigh*

  • @sk8terbandgeek17 the arrivals is a fascinating documantary about the world and illuminati its not a "muslim conspiracy theory" its the truth about how the illuminati control the world and about how they are building the new world order for the arrival of the false messiah, the series brings verses from the Quran proves their agenda isnt a conspiracy theory its real and we all need to wake up to that fact, I recommend you watch it with an open mind and do research to find the truth

  • @MsSeekingtruth i beleive you. for some reason i feel that this movie has some themes regarding something

    of that sort. dont u?

  • Excellent music, first time I heard this music when I was watching The Arrivals, wondered to myself who was behind the music, so I done some research, and behold I found out.

  • Why do u always have to compare something SO beautiful like this kind of music with religion. Why is it so hard to understand that religion has NOTHING to do with music, when you are listening to that song some of you may say religion things, but when you are listening to a punk/pop/rock song u arent thinking"this is so great thank you God".You have to understand that music is really a GREAT thing, and world would be miserable without music, but don't compare it to God.

  • can someone explain to me what is "the Arrivals"????

  • @panos4815162342 its an amazing... documentary movie, made by true ppl with clear thoughts

  • @panos4815162342 talks about rulers of the world....a documentary how humanity is controled..my opinion

  • from 7:30 to the end.... its amazing..... i wish it were longer..... it feels like u just finished an agonizing journey and its finally done

  • @sintahao ppl don't like questions because they want you to believe in a very VERY VERY religious form.... i just don't go to church because i got tired of ppl telling me wat the Bible says and wat it means and how i should believe... i read the Bible 4 myself to find my own meaning

  • Even the angels weep to such majestic music.
