One note on the Barber fumble: It was caused by a true beast, Brian Dawkins, who is no longer in the same conference much less same division. You guys should be able to chalk up two wins against the Eagles next year, who are really embarrassing themselves so far this offseason. The 'Boys have missed out on some guys and have let a few players leave, but none with the importance of B-Dawk, so that's a plus. Have a good draft and you guys should be able to compete.

I'm I the only one following this team, 95% of the team is drafted players. T.O, Hamlin, & Davis are the only 3 current FA/Trade players. Maybe a couple more no namers. But practically EVERY starter has been a draft pick, selected by this team.

I don't see it as desperate. I just see signing these guys as a quick fix where no quick fix is not going to work. Probably 95% of most teams are drafted players. That's kinda redundant. You can't sign 53 FA's every few years after all. But also about 50% of your team doesn't start except for maybe special teams. I sure as hell didn't call JJ a genius when he signed Sanders or Haley. But hey, it worked out. Those guys contributed but were far from the main reason for Cowboys' success.

i just heard about the cowboys cutting TO too. I am so upset about this as well. I mean just because TO did not do so well last season, it does not mean he is good. Fierce competition forces us to strive to better our craft. This isn't just a football thing, it's a life thing. It takes a very strong willed person to put in 100% effort 100% of the time if there's nobody threatening to nab your job.If you're willing to just lay down and accept being #2 or #5, then get the hell off the team.

And another thing: The Redskins made a big splash but really, they'll find a way to mess it up. Haynesworth is great but not really an every-down tackle, and Hall has been cut and traded away before now for a good reason. Not saying they're going to finish last again, I think that spot may be reserved for the Eagles if they don't pull their heads out, but what I am saying is that the 'Boys have enough talent to compete. One note on the Barber fumble: It was caused by a true beast, Brian Dawkins, who is no longer in the same conference much less same division. You guys should be able to chalk up two wins against the Eagles next year, who are really embarrassing themselves so far this offseason. The 'Boys have missed out on some guys and have let a few players leave, but none with the importance of B-Dawk, so that's a plus. Have a good draft and you guys should be able to compete.

The biggest reason the Cowboys are "losers" is that there is absolutely NO ACCOUNTABLITY. Jerry locks these guys into contracts and they know that cutting them when they don't perform kills the sallary cap. Jimmy made players accountable. I know we all get sick of hearing bout when Jimmy was coach, but as you said the was accountablity and compatition. Even the stars new that.

We have more talent than at least 28 teams in the NFL, and still not getting it done. Jerry blew it last year when he turned his head to Chad Pennington, who at the time, was willing to be a back up wherever he went. He just wanted out of New York. Well look at him now. Look at what he accomplished last year with the Dolphins. These people gonna tell me to "CHILL", when I know we could have won those games we lost while Romo was out, and that Chad would not have been pushing the pen on Romo?

They do it to me all the time. They all get way too defensive. They are blinded by "POSITIVETY". Being positive is great, but not to the point where "Its all good baby". That is like driving through a tornado with your blinders on, hoping for the best. CRITICIZM is good, and it is necessary. Its not hating, it is seeing the big true picture, but unfortunately, some choose to do the opposite. 5STARS***** Shango!!!

Tough loss to Dallas, no more Chris Canty. Doesn't really matter to me as an Eagles Phan, cause he signed with the Giants. Either way I have to see him twice a year.

It isn't Jerry Jones fault that Tony Romo keeps chocking in the playoffs. He didn't bobble the snap in the Seattle, he didn't throw a interception in the playoff game. I like Tony Romo but he needs to improve. He's the reason we haven't won a playoff game. It isn't always his fault the O-line doesn't block, but still we could had two W's. I still say he is the 2nd best QB behind Tom Brady, but in the playoffs he's been awful. He is still in-experienced. Maybe 2009 he be ready.

I'm I the only one following this team, 95% of the team is drafted players. T.O, Hamlin, & Davis are the only 3 current FA/Trade players. Maybe a couple more no namers. But practically EVERY starter has been a draft pick, selected by this team.
When Jerry went after Prime time and Haily in the 90s people said he was a genius, but if he tried that now, people say hes desperate and can't buy a superbowl...

I don't see it as desperate. I just see signing these guys as a quick fix where no quick fix is not going to work. Probably 95% of most teams are drafted players. That's kinda redundant. You can't sign 53 FA's every few years after all. But also about 50% of your team doesn't start except for maybe special teams. I sure as hell didn't call JJ a genius when he signed Sanders or Haley. But hey, it worked out. Those guys contributed but were far from the main reason for Cowboys' success.

And there is a difference between a player wanting to play for Dallas, and Dallas wanting that players. Cause lets be real 90% of the FA's want to play for Dallas, and the media will pro-traded that as Dallas going after big names.

And I don't know about you but I think the 2008 Cowboys draft was stout. But then Jones goes after Pacman. That's where the Cowboys' image gets tarnished. Going after guys like that. Tank was another one. But like I said... you make solid arguments dude.

League getting crazy, cause of nut job owners like Al Davis and Snyder, glad cap gone next year, cause this ish is getting outa control. Just giving money away. Gunna see A LOT of hold outs next season, prolly record for hold outs, with all this ridiculous contacts. There's prolly 20 players in the NFL better then Canty, making less money. Good player, but overpaid.

There is no reason at all for us not to go to the bowl, even with these so called disractions that every team has but since its OMG T.O.! its media new every day. A player said this, a player said that. Every interview or show does the same ass thing, trying to ask leading questions for some tid pit of info that can be misconstrued into ratings. So get rid of T.O.and watch Witten's drop in half because T.O's double teamed every play. Williamd cant fill his shoes either.

Playoff streak started when 90% of the team was 10 years old.
I'll give you 0-2 tho. Our current team, 0-2 in playoffs, each game lost in the redzone.
This team is far far from the 2000 Cowboys. We can't afford a QB like Kurt Warner or Kerry Colins, unless you want to release Romo, so what you want is impossible cause of Cap space (least for this year).
This team stays healthy, there still a top 3 NFC team.
Unfortunately the last impression is the lasting impression (Philly game)

T.O. is NOT the problem! Having a coaching staff in witch not one of them has more tham one nut and the one they do have doesnt have any hair on it. There weak minded. And yes Garret looked great at first then every def cord in the league knew how to stop his offence, and Garret had no clue how to change up or counter that. Wade looks like hes just along for the ride and it shows in his press conference's. Weak Weak Weak.

Kitna coming in as a backup is fine, now as I think about. Kitna did mentor Carson Palmer and Matt Hassleback, hopefully he can do the same with Romo.
Brooking is not a bad signing either, he's no Ray Lewis but he is a bigger version of Zach Thomas.
Now if we can sign Shawn Springs and re-sign both Canty and Burnett, then we should be in good shape for a 10-win season.

True that Canty wants 8 mill a year, but who's going to pay him that? Both the Giants and the Redskins said no. And I doubt Seattle and GB will pay him that much either.
If Canty's smart, he will return to Dallas where he at least has a better chance to be on a winning team. The same goes for Burnett.
