  • It is uncommon for mule deer or white tails to produce more than one fawn, though the literature states that the usual number of mule deer offspring is "from 1 to 4" fawns. Twins ARE more likely than triplets, and quads are virtually unheard of, at least around the parts of British Columbia I have hung around for a few decades. So, perhaps, but unlikely, that the 3 fawns belong to the single doe. Nonetheless they are awfully cute!
