My last cat did that too. it's because a small thread sticking out of the blanket tastes like nipple. the typical massaging helps cat mom's breasts flow.
My cat is 12 years old and she still does this... But she sucks on my shirt. If I don't let her do it, then occasionally she will resort to sucking on a blanket. Her mother was hit by a car when she and her siblings were very young, so they were never weaned properly.
My "rescue" kitty is six months old and still does this. She looks very much like your cutie. I've long thought she might be part Siberian but have no way of knowing for sure. :) THanks for the vid!
Actually her. We got her at our local no-kill shelter as a kitten. We originally thought she might be a Maine Coon or Norweigan, from the silkiness of hear coat, but when she started to play in water and we discovered she loved to fetch toys thrown across the room we did our research and decided she must have some Siberian in her. She is extremely playful, yet temperamental. She loves to play, but has no time for petting.
@dlherrin My cat is a partial siberian and she does the same exact thing. Every single night. If I don't tuck her in to her microfiber blankie, she'll bug me until I get out of bed and do it. Nice to see she's not an oddball. XD
when a cat sucks on clothing (or your fingers) that only means they were weined to soon as a kitten

haha Our last cat did that. She'd curl herself up and suck on the tip of her tail. I think she was taking away from her Mother too soon.

My male Siamese mix sucks on our ear lobes. Something to do with being weaned too early. I love it. Your cat is a beauty. Tell us more about him.
