It looks like the name derives from 'Mage' in Italian which is 'Mago' so it's probably pronounced.

'Ma' (like MAster) and 'gus' (pronouncing the G in GUS as G in GAS)

Well warcraft was meant to be warhammer game but Blizzard didn't get the rights from Games Workshop so they made different game.

But major things like orcs are the same as wow orcs. But Warhammer exist since 1984 while Blizzard alone exist since early 90's

Each Warhammer class is more than unique in it's own way. I am a Warhammer Tabletop player. The Magus is the equivalent of a Sorcerer of Tzeentch. Other Chaos Gods with sorcerers are Nurgle and Slaanesh each with their own spell schools. Khorne hates magic practicioners so no sorcerers of Khorne around.

you can solo if you want. Ofcourse there are some quests that are impossible without a group, but I solo all the time with my Iron breaker. Yes you CAN solo

if you are level 12 - 21, and you enter a t1 open RvR area you will know it right away... because you will turn into a chicken! :-D

You'll know as in other Online RPG's  If the mobs are grossly under powered for your level, you are in an area that is too low for you.

you could say that the Warlock is the closest thing that WoW has to the Magus. About the same sort of feel. DPS spells with a pet assist.

Lots of what I wear comes from Mob drops and Public Quest prizes.

Also, keep in mind that it's Mythic. Content will flow as the dews from Heaven, and most of it, we won't even have to pay for. Players of DAoC will also attest to this.

The Magus is more of a support DPS caster. They do NOT suck at DPS, but they tend to be a big target in RvR cuz they're so squishy.

One more thing.. Pet Casters tend to be pwned in RvR. They are great in PvE. The Squig herder however, seems to be very survivable in RvR. Magus players, leave your thoughts as well
