@gucci13 it's supposed to be 6 seconds, so you can multiply by ten and get..bpm. but if we're being technical he stopped him after like 4 sec, bc well...it's a show. But yeah his heart rate would have to be at least 250 and his heart probably would rupture within seconds or immediately at that rate. This is one of my most favorite moments on House. =3
He counted 26 beats in 3 seconds. How I know? This dude knows shit about mesuring pulse and he couldn't multiply beats by 20 'cause he suck at math :P

Did the patient mean that in the 3 seconds house was timing him, he counted 26 beats? or did he multiply by 20 and get 26?

even if he had multiplied whatever he counted in those 5 seconds by20 to get his heartrate, he woulda died, bc 26 BPM is way too slow for any human.
