The entire race problem stems from its very mention. When you talk about a black man in the oval office as an achievement, or overcoming a hurdle, you are making it about race. As long as people say they are overcoming hurdles, race matters, even if only to them.

Minorities have the power because they are more likely to vote together, and that's why the race thing ins so sensitive. I think that race issues need to be cleaned up in a few isolated areas, but that's blacks, whites, asians, indians, and anyone who is a victim to discrimination.
