  • By Gerry and Sylvia Roddenberry...

  • Brilliant ST/S:1999 mash-up!

  • THAT was just to good for words!

    THANK YOU!

  • 7 people are highly illogical.

  • LOL!

  • Fucking awesome!

  • I love it

  • Wow, I had completely forgotten Space 1999! I blame it on the tranya.

  • This is so funny! You did a great job! I am a Space: 1999 fan! But my favorite season was season 2 with Maya! Plus the effects and electronic sounds were much better that season one. I am a big fan of Star Trek the next generation as it was much better than the original in the 1960's.

  • This is cool. I always thought Maya from season two a little bit like Spock. Not by just looks. But by her profound interest and possibly love for logic.

  • I’m wait for some vintage SPACE 1999 to arriving this week on bluray. Got like the intro theme.

  • Simply brilliant!

  • Very cool.

  • This is hilarious! I wish the intro HAD been something like this. That whole "Space the final frontier..." thing got REALLY boring...

  • Excellent! that works so well! great work!

  • Excellent! Roll on "Space:1999 - The Next Generation"

  • Hilarious! I grew up a fan of both shows.

  • what a vast improvement, lol!!!!!! Loved the kirk and spock shots- how perfect. Waited for nimoy to turn as well, but only got an eyebrow. LMAO

  • Very nifty!

  • Pretty cool. I'll bet if more purist Trek minds had not prevailed, TOS would have been sliced down to 1/2 an hour with a slick intro like this by about the 6th or 7th year of syndication.

  • This is way too awesome. I must be a hard core geek. Really love this. Thanks.

  • Here's an idea. "Bonanza" debuted on September 12, 1959 -- all you'd have to do is find enough clips, including an explosion or two (there must have been some), use only Greene, Landon and Blocker as Roberts left early, put up executive producer David Dortort's name, and then make the date "September 12th 1859" -- because the show was 100 years behind its present day.

  • Absolutely wonderful. If there is a show I like more than "Star Trek" it's "Space: 1999", it is my all time favorite. You and Spockboy rock!

  • LMAO! You did Gerry Anderson proud!

  • Wow! Nicely done! :-)

  • This opening probably would have worked as a "one shot" or April Fool' Day special back when Star Trek was still in syndication on local networks.

  • this is a great video

  • This is fucking great!!! I love it!!

  • I'd love to see a version of this using Star Trek - The Motion Picture as the episode of the week. I always thought that seemed like a 2 hour episode of Space 1999. : )

  • That was brilliant!

  • Absolutely Brilliant!!

  • awesome! you rock! good pulls!

  • Great stuff,

    loved it

  • LOL Awesome.

  • out of this world well done my friend

  • I'm digging your videos. This one is my fave so far.

  • excelenttt!

  • Very Good fantastic combination

  • Good stuff!!!

And just think, good old Freddie Freiberger killed both of them off..........as well as other series. Off hand I cannot think of a series he did NOT kill off.

  • Haha! Funny stuff, nice mish-mash.

  • One slight error: not sure you should have used the '74 ITC logo...sure it's the stuff of nightmares but more the timing, being this was '69. Probably would have used the first one with the "diamond world" instead.

  • Wow, this is one of those things we actually debated. Here is how we finally came down on it. While the logo is from '74, the show we are parodying is "Space 1999" which was produced in 1974 and shown in 1975, so the logo was proper. IF we are making it as a parody. But you point is valid, and we did discuss it prior to committing to this logo. Thanks for being smart! It's for people like you I do this.

  • I guess I saw it like this: after Roddenbury was forced to end his show in '69, he is approached by a combo of Gerry Anderson and/or Lew Grade to bringing Star Trek to England and making it via ATV/ITC for a couple more years. Thus, an alternate world where this (instead of UFO) is the big space show of the era, therefore why I thought the older logo. But I get your point too: it's a pardoy thus you keep it as close to Space:1999 with the Star Trek concept.

  • @Kelvington 0:22 LMAO nice one! That was good one the opening Kirk turns to look at Spock just like Koenig turning towards Dr. Helena Russell.

    THIS EPISODE!

  • great idea

  • Very, entertaining. I was especially pleased with the "Barry Morse" theme with DeForest Kelly in place. Very fun. Thanks.

  • I saw both series and this is very well done.

  • I showed this one to my father (who was actually around in 1969) and loved both shows, and he said, "This is really amazing!"

  • Just so cool !

    :)

  • Hmm... This looks like my crew made it! Interesting!

  • Excellent!

    Made me smile throughout!

    Good job and thx!

    Astro Joe

  • The thing it fits perfectly

  • i lol'd

  • Nice work. The comic sans was killin me.

  • More genius work as usual!

  • FANBLOODYTASTIC

  • Nice !!

  • In two words: Mag. Nificent!

  • From 0:25 to 0:43, if I could get a CD of nothing but music like that I could die happy.

  • Well done!

  • Fantastico! Bravo.

  • Very very beautiful indeed !

    Bravo!

  • I like how you combined the two series together.

  • GREAT!!!

  • nice mash-up

  • Excellent- really makes TOS look "modern". UFO music at the very end worked really well

  • Nice job!! The parody does look better with the shuttle. the Poor Galileo once again she used and abused.

  • I'm flabagasted!

Never has my flabber been so gasted!

    10/10

  • Superb!

  • this is really super!

  • OMG that was GREAT!!!!

  • That song is going to be stuck in my head for a week. :3

  • I totally agree with Treknologist... There aren't enough stars here to rate this video. You just combined the two sci-fi shows I loved the most as a kid and it's just so friggin' cool! Fantastic!

  • This is worth at least 9 stars.

  • Much better with the shuttle craft crashing. WTG! :)

  • Futura fucking rocks!

  • Nice job!
