  • Wow a shitty driver in a prius what a surprise!

  • i hate a prius, glad youre ok !

  • Guys the truck isn't splitting a lane, it's a single lane. Look at the grey car behind the truck, it's trying to turn right too. It's in nearly the exact same position as the truck. They're driving left of center to make room for people coming up on their right trying to filter.

    The Prius, shouldn't be

    - Driving up someone's hole

    - Overtaking at a fucking junction, sit there and wait

    - Overtaking on the inside, wtf

The trucker had probably checked for bikes before coming upto the junction.

  • That is a single lane road with a left turn lane. The truck was signally a right turn, but signaling does not give you the right away. If you look closely you will see there are no lane markers due to poor road funding. The truck is clearly splitting the straight and turn lane with a turn signal on. Since he had not cleared the straight lane fully, the prius is at fault for attempting to pass prior to the lane being fully clear. You could also charge the prius with agressive driving.

  • @zzzingrol anyone who drives a prius has no real interest in driving, and it shows.

  • Truck driver's fault

  • Just proves that Prius drivers are dicks.

  • If you are a pussy, then absolutely. Put the bike away.

  • Gee I don't know, maybe the bike rider should stop and tell one of them he has the whole thing on video in case one of them is a dick and tries to lie about it.

  • Totally the cars fault. Truck was signaling to turn right, and Prius decided to not only attempt to pass him(probably to make the yellow light), but then also was on the sidewalk for part of it. People like that should not have a license.

  • @torbar You're kidding right? the Truck was making a right from the left lane. PLUS, by the time you can determine the turn signal was on for the truck, the Prius was already passing the rear of the truck. He drove onto the sidewalk because he didn't have time to stop and was maneuvering to avoid a collision.

  • @woo545 Trucks make wide turns. This is how driving works. Look at how narrow the lane he is trying to turn in. Its a single lane. Which means he cant make a wide turn from the far right lane without taking down a sign or two.

Who taught you how to drive?

  • You should have gotten the phone number of the truck driver so you could allow him to prove the car was trying to pass him while going through an intersection. Where did this happen?

  • @MichaelKaufman0 Logan & California, Chicago, IL

  • you're a lucky person. that could have been horrible

  • Truthfully it is the trucks fault. I used to be truck driver and rule one is to make sure there isn't enough room on your right for a car to fit when making a right turn. Seriously that is one of the first things they teach you in truck driving school.

  • Its alright, its only a prius.

  • Crap! I blame the truck because that could of easily been a cyclist barrelling along the side there.

  • @187Premises Yeah maybe you are correct, but look at the car that was coming. It came so fast that he thought that he will make it, but no. Also i dont want arque about this. We have different views. :)

  • I near shat my pants

  • and who was at fault here?

  • @MovieInventor Looks to me like, as the lights change, the right turning van (from left lane) is clipped by a come from behind straight on prius attermpting to beat the lights (in right lane)

Prius wins idiot prize (well, a second one to add to their other after having bought a hybrid)

  • @MovieInventor Lots of oportunity for debate. I'd like to get the truck driver off as the Prius driver was downright reckless but both must take a share. Who is landed with the biggest share depends on exactly when the truck starts signalling.

  • I wasn't expecting that at all! I was paying more attention to the snow flurries, expecting a sudden snow storm.

  • i dont know who was in the wrong i dont know the law over there but i would say the black car is in the wrong for the undertake

  • @cruellordsoth Legally, it would depend on the state, I guess. Law aside, they are both wrong. The car driver should've seen the truck indicating. The truck driver should've made sure there was nobody in his blind spot. You can see that as the truck starts to turn, the guy is already on the sidewalk, meaning that he saw that the truck was going to turn and decided to take the risk. So yeah, I'd say that the car driver is more wrong.

  • did you stop and give them your phone number or some thing i think the insurace company would like to get a hold of this footage

  • i gotta say, if watching the video i freaked out and nearly jumped out of my chair to get out of the way, how did you feel?? the best part is you looked at it the moment it happend!!!! sure that coming prius(?) looked scary!

  • @pedroaguiaromundo and if anything, this i a sign to: 1 don't pass vehicles on the side they are likely to make a turn to; 2 dont make turns cutting lanes like the truck did.

    Ride on, stay safe!
