I like Finola's dancing better, although I do think Cynthia is equally, if not more talented. I like her lines when she dances, they are very clean. I could dance the jazz routine today, but I'd have to work for that 2nd show!!!!!!

Cynthia Rhodes was a much better dancer than Finola Hughes. Don't get me wrong, I like Finola and think she's a fine dancer, but Cynthia is much better. Both were very good in the characters they played in this movie. Bring back the 80's - colourful clothes, lots of dancing, good music and FUN times. I sure do miss it.

And when I say Cynthia is a better dancer I'm not talking about their different styles, I am simply looking at the way their bodies move. Cynthia is more natural and fluid. Finola is a very good dancer, but Cynthia just has that little bit more.

I can't believe I missed that, I trained as a Elite gymnast, and Cynthia totally has the body of a gymnast and not a dancer, notice the indentions in her butt, not to mention the gymnastics she incorporates in this movie & Flashdance, duh. She became a dancer for a band in the '80's, after retiring and/or growing out of competitive gymnastics, & then became the lead singer for Animotion in the '80's for a short time.

@welshfilmbuff Remember Rhodes was too play the lead in Flash Dance but turned it down because she is a Christian, and their was to be nudity in the scenes!Can u imagine what all those girls back then would look like today in a remake with all the fake racks girls have today? Casting a remake would be almost impossible too find flat chested extras to play the dancers!

Everytime I watch this movie I think Cynthis Rhodes should have been the main woman - she is a much better dancer than Finola Hughs. Although , her softer personality is better suiter for her character. Love this movie! (Esp this scene)

I just checked my album jacket and there are no other songs than the ones ones listed on the soundtrack you can find online. I kind of recall that there was some type of medley with all the songs edited into one track. It was so long ago...
