I personally believe that this should only be used in an extreme circumstance, such as when a female is being attacked by a male. I don't know if you've ever seen/known anyone that's been attacked by a male without provoking him, but I can assure you it is not PLEASANT.

Hello. In answer to your quick question I think it would hurt more to grab or squeeze because in general there is more pressure applied to that sensitive male area when you either grab or sqeeze them.
If that person is attacking me I would grab and squeeze very hard until they released their hold on me so I could escape, and I'm guessing the attacker would either get angry or be in emense pain or both. And take care and be safe you as well.
I was taught the "grab, twist and pull" move in a girls self defense class by a woman trained in Krav Maga. From what she told me, if you manage to grip and squeeze the testicles hard enough there is no way that their owner would get angry and retaliate. He would most likely end up unconscious on the floor. She always emphasized though that "you must get hold of at least one testicle" for the technique to work and to squeeze them like you are trying to pop a couple of grapes.

@julieannhayes I agree !! Guys cant move if you have a good grip on their balls. They just freeze. When you start to twist and pull them the males start to pass out. Always keep on pulling and twisting until the balls pop or rupture even after they pass out. Great empowering feeling for a gal !
