I guess it's THE place to stay while in St. Louis, but it's an odd amalgam. The station has been beautifully restored, but the multi-level strip of guest rooms and upper-end shops tacked on the back, almost seem an afterthought.

The hotel restaurant's breakfast buffet, though, is very good.
unless there is an event, particularly at Scottrade Center, there wont be many people there. I love going there before Blues games. They got places you can eat that are fairly affordable, and it has an old time feel.
It looked exactly like a level from one of the Silent Hill games, or maybe any generic horror survival game. Huge architecture, random bridges and stairs, but almost entirely empty.
