jewel was my meditation growing up.... i didnt have many friends but i had my diary and my every jewel cd. thats what got me through my childhood and teenage years and through a drug addiction. when i simply had no one i had her music. now my niece is old enough to listen to her. now i share the cds and shes become a part of her life. i hope one day i will be able to meet her and tell her what she has meant to me and how much she had played a part in my life.

They love Jewel as I ended up doing too, they even look like Jewel and they share her almost child-like sensitivities, mixed with this mature wisdom. One of my favorite songs. Its message that each of us has something unique to contribute to the world, regardless of our limitations ("my hands are small, I know, but they're not yours they are my own") is timeless and Universal. The song is filled with hope ("If I can tell the world just one thing it would be, we're all OK.") and wisdom ("In the end, only kindness matters."). It's an inspired and inspiring piece of music.
