Come on now acrow. I watch the premierleague regularly and i've heard the commentators say cleats, box, ejection, and one-zero, on multiple occasions.

By the way, what a goal by sacha kljestan..not a big fan of his but really well taken.

i've been watching the premier league since the early 90's on a weekly basis and no they absolutely do not say cleats, ejection, or one-zero.. they do say box tho, that is true i'll give u that.. but what i don't understand how americans call their stupid game football when the ball is rarely hit with the foot, and even worse make up pathetic new names and phrases ruining the escense of a beautiful game.. and no i'm not british

Not regularly no, but they do it say it. I really don't see how the terms we use to describe "football" is ruining the escence of the game. If anything is ruining this wonderful sport, its the players who have no passion for their club or country, just for their paycheck. And every sport which involoved a ball and two goals on seperate ends was called football in the 1800's (This includes rugby and soccer), my guess is the word just stuck over in the US for "our football"

I agree sunbol... I am a Canadian and I EVEN HATE when they call it Soccer, It's football, Football Boots (not soccer cleats!), the Area (Not the fucking box!), a sending off (not a fucking ejection!), and it's ONE to NIL (not fuckin ONE-ZERO!)
