Bravo! I play this piece and have practiced it for years on the piano. However, 858 and I suppose a lot of Bach, lose something with the "translation" from harpsichord. The vivace like tempo for the prelude works much better on the harpsichord compared to playing that way on the piano.
Too bad that harpsichords like these are not popular. It seems like a number of people really don't like them and that's sad. I think they are awesome!
The revival instruments of the first 1/2 of the 20th Century (plucking pianos) gave birth to the Historical based Harpsichords which have replaced the former.
Arnold Dolmetsh (one of the first revivalist builders) best student was John Challis. Challis's best student William Dowd was partners in building with Frank Hubbard. Hubbard went on to research, document, and build the Historical based instruments.
Muy energica interpretacion de esta señora, en un instrumento que se aparenta a un Neupert, pero no es.
A lot of energy. Nice instrument. Looks very much like a Neupert, but it is not: the 4' is on the main keyboard, and the Neupert has it on the small. Did she practice with Mrs Landowska?

Ma insomma... Più l'ascolto e più la amo! Anzi li amo: Tureck e Bach!

Bach, padre della musica classica, diventa "vita in movimento" e spirito che alleggia con Rosalyn Tureck. Eccezionale!

Wow, she plays the Harpsichord with Piano techique, I sure hope they insured the Challis Harpsichord.

This is the kind of "harpsichord" played by the butler Lurch in the old "Addams Family" TV show from the 60s.
The sound of this instrument has little in common with the sound of a real harpsichord from the 18th c. for which this music was written.
Look elsewhere on YouTube for the sound of the real thing.
