@Pmccaff2009 Firstly the wii is an inferior system where nintendo sold its soul to the devil to appeal to a niche crow- PEOPLE WHO DIDNT BEFORE PLAY VIDEO GAMES, which is why legendary games like the original mario and sonic which pioneered the gaming industry through sheer genius gameplay and concept which were both far a head of thier time, i.e legendary games. Nintendo has had to desperately regurgatate the both on its failure of a console. hmm mario world snes or wii sports on the wii???????

The wii was not an inferior system when it was released, It was not as graphically advanced as the other two major players, but it was never designed to be a graphical powerhouse, it was instead designed to be superior in the way that games were played.

@finly42 Many would argue that it achieved its goal. Whether you like the wii or not, it is a bit childish to call it a failure. It has sold 88.3 million units, as opposed to the PS3 and the 360 which have both only shipped around 55million. Stop being a fanboy and appreciate things for what they are.

I would also like to point out, that people who didnt play videogames are not a niche crowd, until the Wii and the DS came into play, they were really the majority and we gamers were the niche.

very under rated, but I think what made it die or well help make it die was the fact that there was no saves or passwords and not many people, like me, can sit and play a game for hours . . . plus it is a difficult game.

@kbjami I think it was more to do with it's timing of release. They had been working on it for a while but it took them time to gather enough funding because they didn't have a huge amount of resources. So it meant that it was released after lots of other 'cute character' platform games, so most people weren't interested in another. Even though it's a ridiculously great game.
