She turned down 10 million dollars to have songs on her third album that she wrote rather than the record company's commercial pop songs, knowing full well her songs wouldn't sell as much. That was a huge fight a few years ago between her and her producer.

First, I am a big fan of Kelly Clarkson just so you know .. She has gotten older and it is normal that her voice has been cracked a little. Only thing off tune was one of the guitars. Kelly sounds perfect. As for the tuning down, singing a song like this in it's normal key is very straining for any vocalist. Kelly's smart to protect her voice and sounds a lot better here than she did trying to hit those high belts night after night.

She's one of the very few that can do well live, to the point that the live songs are better than the studio ones. I love the arrangements of her music when she sings live, she should defitnely put out a live album.

Also she is making another album that she has been working on since 2009 and it is coming out this year 2010 she said so atleast but you can never know for sure about that.
She is also doing europe tour so maybe mid 2010 i dont know im just excited about her next album.

Also i have to agree that Demi Lovato is the next kelly clarkson. Demi also has kelly as her favorite artist so lol epic coincidence.
Demi is also able to belt high notes so im excited to see what she will do in the future with her music.

Don't worry. Kelly's voice is just fine. She is doing an acoustic version. She changes her songs up live a lot. She has a better voice now than ever before. Check out her live performance of this song on the Ellen show. You can see that she sings it better than ever...high notes and all. Better than the album.

I love her!!! Shez still amazing but her voice is different than b4...seems like after her My December album her voice started fading in a way. Her range is smaller now. She can't hit a lot of the notes she used to be able to. In this song alone you can notice she doesn't even attempt some of those notes. But i still love her voice and alwayz will!

First, I am a big fan of Kelly Clarkson just so you know .. She has gotten older and it is normal that her voice has been cracked a little. She still sings AMAZING, but she could hit higher notes before. I'm not saying that she can't sing anymore, because she can .. It's just, your voice develop as your body develop so it is obvious that her voice isn't the same as it was before.

I know some of you say that she hits the high notes in her new songs. Yes she does, but it is something else to stand in the studio and sing. You can re-record it over and over so that you will get it right and I think that it is what they do .. to sing live is another thing than standing in the studio recording. Hope you all get my point.
To the thing with many of you saying that she is fat. She is NOT fat at all. She is not skinny either, but come on guys - nobody's perfect.

Oh, so I'm not a Kelly Carkson fan? that's why I went to a concert with her and acted crazy with my friends because I touched her hand and bowled to her songs. You obviously know nothing about singing technique. Kelly Clarkson gets professional help so that she is using her voice the best way to avoid big damages of it. It is not hard to keep your voice clean, because when you are singing the right way it doesn't hurt.
It is true that her voice has gotten a more raw and developed sound but the older you get the harder is it for you to hit the high notes. believe me or not, it is true.

I prefer acoustic versions so much to the album releases BECAUSE the artists can give a pure, undiluted performance/interpretation....by the time we've heard the radio version it's been picked at and pulled apart so much you hear very little of the actual artists take on the song....

Kelly is great no matter what size she is. People really need to get over it. So what she gained weight. Talent is talent whether it is from a skinny person or a heavier person. Only thing off tune was one of the guitars. Kelly sounds perfect. As for the tuning down, singing a song like this in it's normal key is very straining for any vocalist. Kelly's smart to protect her voice and sounds a lot better here than she did trying to hit those high belts night after night.
