@300atsheridan Its the Blow off valve

@300atsheridan Turbo impeller stall. Throttle closes, the air goes backwards and hits the turbo so hard it pretty much makes it stop instantly. On the other side you have the ALS system trying to prevent that. Turbo and valves die very quickly even in indestructible WRC or Group A cars because of that.

@hompola96 low profile tyres for WRC is slick - cut slick. car is set to tarmac, look at the height. this rally is mixed surface, this is just a part of mud in a long stage. you can see in other videos. and i haven't see any dutch rally championship car set for gravel, i think it is mandotary.

@xexas3000 Well that "popping whistling" is the lack of a Blow off Valve. Huge debate on that, though. Alot of people say there is a BOV, but its venting to atmosphere. But a lot of WRC cars don't run BOVs...
