Cont'd...You can find numerous, wonderful videos and DVDs of Michaels on the MCIFA website. You can also leave Michael a message under guestbook(you don't have to be a member)on that site and wish him a happy birthday! It is Jan. 19th and there will be special birthday parties held thruought the world with fans gathering at restaurants celebrating Mikes birthday but also raising money for terminally ill and abused children and teens around the globe. MCs got a great heart and voice. God bless!
Thanks colinmcphan - I too wish I had got to see him. Maybe he will be doing some more shows in the not too distant future here in the UK. I also love both his and Barbras version. Two fantastic artists. I sat and watched Hello Dolly over the Christmas break and loved every minute of it again!!
To bad "babsfan4ever" and Babsfanalltheway never went to any of Michaels concerts! He is every bit as good a performer as Barbara. I respect them both and have seen both onstage at one time or another. I just wish you two would have taken the chance to see Michael in concert. He has done many concerts around the U.S since 1992 and was in Las Vegas for over a year and a half in the mid 90s in "EFX". You can also find his solo albums at Borders and Barnes & Nobles. Also check out the MCIFA website
Yes, Barb sang in the movie and Michael mentions that in concert(I can't remember if he says in this PBS special-but, he has said in other concerts) and I think he actually sings better than her and I like Babs.
Wasn't it originally Barbra that sang this in the movie - it's been a while since I've had this on but thought it was Barbra. He is a fantastic singer - I wish I had seen him as the Phantom!
Yes you are quite right it was Barbra who sang it in the film. Didnt quite get the description right so Ive edited it so not to confuse people - thanks.
I also wish I had seem him in Phantom - one of lifes regrets. At least Ive seen Barba in concert three times though!
Thanks - yes I do consider myself lucky. The first time was at Wembley in 94, the second was in Washingto DC which was fantastic and I too was there for her final night last July at the 02!!.
There are rumours of a 2009 tour - I do live in hope!!
Such a good song. Especially for Michael now. And such a fitting song for his character in "Hello, Dolly", though it wasn't for his char.

It's nice to sit here & hear him sing. Really different than seeing him as Frank Spencer!!
