Cubase 5 Beatmaking with Groove Agent One (part two - 'bouncing' the midi data)

@GX8RA Create your event, then bring the marker line to the end of the event. After that, set the right locator to that position, that should do the trick.

PLEASE AN SWER when using groove agent one with several outputs, how can i stop the bass drum but leave the clap...Like if i want a guitar solo playing over the claps but i don't want the bassdrum playing...because my midi outputs play through the entire song..which isn't good

hi great vid, ive tried creating a loop but on the 4th kick i want the sound to reverse. i go into groove agent one, click write automation and edit it so that on the 4th kick it does reverse. however , once i stop this and play back it is still in fwd mode. can anyone help ? the rest of my filter automations have saved bnut this one wont???

Ok so I've done everything the only problem is, is that when i press play the drum beat I created plays all the time. Is there a way to then take it so that it only plays when it passes over the midi programmed section?

fresh vids mate, well spoke through and to the point. jus a quick question you might be able to help me. Im trying to find a way of selecting all the midi notes of a beat in the piano roll an randomising there positions. Similar to how you can Alter notes in a side tab in reason, a great feature for laying up beat variations.

groove agent wasnt working for me so i had to get NI Kontakt. is there a way to use kontakt with beat designer? i cant wor out how to get my drum samples playing in beat designer

You are a monster mate!! The light's gone on (in my head)...so thanks a ton for that (didn't even know half that stuff was in there...and that's just Beat Designer/Groove Agent.. Quick question can you chain patterns together for a whole song (I'm coming from the stone ages here so forgive me...my first Drum machine was a Yammy RX-21 (probably belongs in a museum). I still have my BOSS DR.-770 but its not acting right), anywho that's how I used to vary my patterns within a song... Cheers!

hi guys i cant get any sound from my mic im not sure if its the driver, it claims that the input for the microphone is active and output but i cant get sound, can i get any help?

Alright, I'm used to Reason and in Reason when you would copy and paste your loop it would automatically assign it after the previous loop, so it would all line up perfectly.

In cubase however I for some reason have not yet been able to achieve this. I keep moving the loops so make them match while zoomed. Since I saw how you did this in the video, you, or someone else, will definitely be able to answer this.

this helped so much, thanks! I do have a question though...when I try and do the whole merge midi in loop thing the option to do that is grayed out. It doesnt bother me except for the fact that I want to be able stop the loop from playing throughout the entire song. I realize that its a noob question, but for the life of me and cant figure out how to have parts of the song without the loop playing.

Yeah I'd like to know as well, I'm having the same problem, it just goes on for the entire track, there's got to be a way to disable this.

You can also drag and drop from the beat designer - Click on the the patterns assigned key and drag to desired midi channel.
