  • Wow, star-studded episode (at least for 70s TV standards). What was the story, if anyone knows?

  • I was indeed born in the wrong generation.

  • Nice lyrics. Awful singing voice. I guess Tanya Tucker was busy,

and so the producers went with this guy instead. He sounds "tuity fruity".

    Sad.

  • stop a bullet cold..she'll make you blow your load...just by staring at you...wonder woman....wonder woman

  • Thanks Craig Reed for playing this at the 70's Party's over the years......

  • "...in your satin tights, fighting for your rights, and the red, white, and blue..." God, how I miss the pre-PC days. Cheesy, but fun.

  • very good. I love Wonder Woman. thanks for uploading

  • If someone was going to choose an actress for Wonder Woman. The female actress has to be not only good looking, but athletic as well. That would fit perfectly for the part of Wonder Woman :)

  • man the song is awesome. even tho i havent seen this show in like 20 years i still remember how it sounds. it so catchy.

  • Lynda Carter is the best Wonder Woman they will ever find and she still looks good enough to play the part!!!

  • I love Wonder Woman

  • Lynda Carter looks amazing!!

  • This theme is so 70's and poignant at the same time!

  • lustiges intro :)

  • What a beauty...what a SMILE...what a WONDER WOMAN! Ms. Carter, nobody will ever replace you! Not Angelina, not Sandra, none of them!

  • @leonbrain68 Absolutely NOT Angelina Jolie!

  • I love this intro music! it is nice! Linda CArter is so beautiful!

  • I've just read an online report that David Kelley is planning a new Wonder Woman series for television.

To this I say: No! No! A thousand times no! To try to redo the character may not go over so well. Please No!

  • DAYUMM !! Linda Carter was a GOOD-LOOKING Woman !! Now I know why I watched this when I was 8 years old !! : )

  • @rhpicayune What do you mean was she's still beautiful.

  • @rhpicayune As far as I'm concerned,Wonder Woman didn't exist until Lynda Carter was first casted to portray her. That actually isn't much of a stretch, considering I was only 3 years old when the series premiered in 1976.

  • Angelina Jolie would own the part of Wonder Woman if a remake ever happens.

Wonder Woman has some kind of Greek Goddess and Latin background that Angelina would be perfect for..

  • @Roadracer987654321 I disagree. She just doesn't look like Wonderwoman. But then, I've only ever regarded Linda Carter as the one and true Wonderwoman...

  • Angelina Jolie would steal the part of Wonder Woman if a WW remake ever happens. It should be set in the 1940s World War 2 Era America. Wonder Woman in the comics worked with the USA to help defeat the Axis Powers.

My Grand father worked on the Atomic Bomb project during World War 2. he brought the Wonder Woman comics and the Superman comics to work with him during those years. If he only knew about the Internet happening then...

He worked at Columbia University and on its project.

  • @Roadracer987654321 :WOW~!!

  • @Roadracer987654321 Angelina looks like a strong wind would SNAP her in HALF! She does NOT have the right body for an Amazonian warrior woman!!!

  • @Roadracer987654321 I like everything you said except the Angelina Jolie bit.. have we not had enough of this mediocre actress yet? She's not all that great an actress and I'm sure I'm not the only one who is just sick of looking at her!

  • @Roadracer987654321 oh wow i said about the same thing, Angelina Jolie should be Wonder Woman if there was a movie to be made, but im kinda thinking for someone else, but several years ago i always thought of her to play the role

  • I fisr saw her when I was a kid when the show was in repeats.

She had me Steamed up. I was still in Grammar School !

  • the theme ends in G-Major

  • I used to love when this came on. Linda Carter was one of my first crushes.

  • Maybe Wonder Woman Should Used Her Lasso On Thar Garrido Guy, You Know He's The SOB That Kidnapped That Duguard Girl. And Make Him Tell The Truth.

  • Wonder woman reminds me of She-ra

  • Wait, isn't Wonder Woman from some Greek Island? So, the red, white and blue in the lyrics don't make much sense!

  • @rubroxato88 She moved to America, so her costume has an American design. Also, the country was at war and she wanted to look patriotic.

  • It' a nice tune nevertheless. I was just a little kid.

  • When you watch the episode where she is given the outfit from her mom, she is told that those are the universal colors for justice.

  • She still hot!

  • THIS is the best theme song for Wonder Woman!

  • @PatrioticPirate I AGREE! Hell I can't help but shuck and jive in my chair when I hear this!

  • OMG, Eric Braeden (a.k.a Victor Newmen, Y&R) was once on this show?.

  • Sweet!! It's a shame you had cut out the last five seconds or so...but otherwise, sweet!!

  • Cool intro.

  • this is so 70s

  • As if Lynda and Lyle on their own isn't great enough...in this title sequence we get Cloris Leachman AND Stella Stevens!!

  • and Kenneth Mars and Fannie Flagg. Add Charo and you have a Love Boat episode!

  • It is said that Katie Holmes will be the next Wonder Woman but only if she gains 40lbs...

  • OMG! Hugh Jackman would be GREAT to reprise Lyle Waggoners role in the Wonder Woman movie!!!!

    Ok I need some credits...:)

  • This movie is long over-due, I mean Super-MAN, Spider-MAN, Bat-MAN, X-MEN...OMG IT IS TIME FOR A Wo-MAN to be on the silver screen for christs sake!!!

  • My vote for newer actress in a Wonder Woman movie would be Kristiana Lokken.

Just based off her performance in Ring of The Nibelungen.

  • No Brasil, nós temos uma apresentadora de televisão que é muito parecida com a Linda Carter. O nome dela é Helen Ganzarolli.

  • That long hair and beautiful face made her a wonder woman. Her eyes were lovely too. Very sexy.

  • 2 Oscar winners in this episode. Red Buttons and Cloris Leachman

  • GAWD she was gorgeous

  • She sure is.

  • This segment was World War II. Diana Prince was a U.S. Navy WAVE and Steven Trevor was a Major in The United States Army Air Corps.

Wonder Woman dealt with commie spies, sabateurs and other stuff related to the war.

  • Don't forget the time she dealt with the count of Cagliostro.

  • Thanks for the tidbit.

  • actually, this was when it moved to the 70s and had to do nothing with WWII. I preferred those episodes though

  • What a spirited opening for a children's show! No wonder I used to sing this theme as a kid, and its pro-feminist, self-empowerment rhetoric is much-needed even now. Years later, I discovered Yoko Ono's "Woman Power", predating the show by two years, sounds suspiciously like this funky theme, and it wouldn't be the first time Yoko picked up on vibes that were coming to the fore in the popular culture.

  • Indeed. It's important to dress in satin tights whilst fighting for one's rights.

  • @rubino83 One might even say.. it's essential! :D

  • I love Wonder Woman!!

  • (Vince Van Patten is the real life son of Eight is Enough dad Dick Van Patten.) But the best episodes were the first season ABC episodes.

  • One of the best superhero TV shows ever! Linda Carter was perfect as Wonder Woman. I liked the first season of the show the best. It aired on ABC and the stories were set in the 1940s. The best from the first season were the Pilot and the one that introduced Debra Winger as Wonder Girl. After season one the show moved to CBS and was updated to the then present day 1970s. There were some good epidsodes from the CBS years (like the mind stealers episode with Vince Van Patten). Continued..

  • Musta been a sweeps episode with those 10 or so special guest stars.

  • Pretty sure that's the cast from the pilot.

  • 0:42, oh man, thanks for the beautiful memories.

  • Wonder Boobs and a trip to the past!! Can't get any better than this! :-)

  • Lol I wonder how long it came for them to come up with this theme song

  • The lyrics are absolutely hilarious! The music is great!

  • awesome! thx for this!

  • Does anyone who blogs to these videos know the reason why comments have been disabled on this website for almost every one of the best Wonder Woman season one episodes?

  • Loved some of the comic book character series they had like this one and the Incredible Hulk

  • The actor Eric Braeden plays Victor Newman on Y&R

  • I bet he played a Nazi spy. On The FBI he was a communist one.

  • love the themesong. I love diana prince

  • Linda Carter really had the perfect look for this role. Could they have found anyone that looked more like the comic book character.

  • Ahhh! I MISS Wonder Woman! I wonder if the show is on DVD? I loved it so much my mother bought me a wonder woman outfit and I had the bracelets! AAhh..Wonder Woman power! Thank you for sharing! Great memories!

  • Yes, you can found all seasons in dvd! ;)

  • Please God, tell me you are a girl!

  • lol..yes!!!!!!!!!

  • What the f would it matter? Wonder Woman is powerful; the lyrics are not 'hillarious'. Anyone of any gender is rightly awed by the goodness of her aide.

  • Hi!

I have no idea what you are talking about, but thanks for your comment!

  • Stop a war with love. help ups with iraq.

  • Best episodes season 1-

  • u were not by yourself! She was GORGEOUS!

  • This and Maude, best TV theme songs EVER.

  • come on tell me this theme doesnt stick in your head! stop a bullet cold make the axis roll! lol

  • I listened more closely to the words (because I have always wondered what they said and it is actually "make the axis fold". I guess it is referring to the WWII Axis.

  • For the movie version. My pick would be "Charlize Theron" as Wonder Woman. (Remember: Aeon Flux) And if; they did decide to bring back Wonder Girl, (Remember - Debra Winger) my pick would be a young "Megan Fox".

  • Lynda Carter was so HOTT! she's the reason I've been into girls since I was like 5 ....no shit!

  • truly a wonder woman..lynda carter is to this very day still ravishingly beautiful..this show and her knock out good looks set my sexuality firmly with brunettes for the rest of my life..all my hopes are pinned on you!
