the "city" is really moving in, nowadays if you know what I mean. It's moving in to main stream music too much. Can't stand them. We gotta move out because the cities moving in.
@patrickparks22 No dude, your lucky. You didn't miss all the good music being 19 yrs old. Its still out there to enjoy no matter how old or young we are. I'm 53 yrs old. Rock on.This is some of the best music ever!
I was getting an insane erection from this song until my bitch of sister came in and yelled at me for rockin out to hard. i told that bitch to go suck her dick and go cry to justin bieber.. fuck her.
@GodOfThunder3248 Steven says in his memoir that he tried to sound black on every song on this album except Dream On. You can really hear it here. I wish he would do this more...you have to wonder if it's hard on the vocal chords.
@refinedfriend Emmmmmm...OK..."I used an exaggerated black-speak on all the tracks except 'Dream On.' The only problem was, nobody knew it was me. 'Ah-sang-lak-dis' because I didn't like my voice and it was early on and I wanted to put on a little." That's straight from his autobiography. Kermit's ass.
@refinedfriend You're right...I think what you've heard definitely sounds like something Steven would say off the cuff. The quote comes from him sitting down and putting some thought into it. I just find it interesting that he doubted his own awesome vocals.
reading stevens book right now apparently whilst recording this they were all nervous as hell and that it reflects in the sounds. can see where hes coming from but cant beat it man!
actually on 'No one knows the way but maybe me' it's No one knows the way but Maybellene. Read Does the Noise in my Head Bother You and read the lyrics.
@letsgoraceing yes it is!!!! back in the early days of aerosmith he sang in the blues!!! stop comparing to Idol and actually LISTEN to aerosmith, for Christ sakes!!!!
When I first bought this album I didn't think it was Steven Tyler singing it. I knew "Dream On" and "Mama Kin" from before but otherwise I thought it was a "OK" album, at most. But with time and listening to it again and again I appreciated the album more and more. Now it's not only the Aerosmith album that has grown most on me, since the day I bought it, but probably the album of any band that has grown on me. It just SWINGS in a way most music don't !
i pray for the day they come back tho this sound...it was so raw and fucking amazing....new aerosmith has absolutely nothing on old aerosmith......the old used to be sooooooooooooooo kickass and badass
this song is the best memory ever, the firs song that the closest brothers from other mothers brothers could ever be...'s first song they ever wrote together
@TheMiggitymark age lol....i know its diffrent, but James Hetfeild (singer for metallica) said in an interview once that "its hard to be the maddest teenager in the world when your 40 years old"
people change, and music changes....i guess it just changed a bit too much with aerosmith....but they are awesome
I was talking to a guy about Aerosmith and I told him Toys from the Attic was my favorite album. He said it was 'after they sold out.' He told me to search this song and it's fucking awesome.
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL VERSION....the other one is the pandora's box version...i like the original by farrrrrr......first song steven and joe ever wrote together...a fucking rock an roll classic and one of my aerosmith fav songs
@bBpro10 --this is their first version. do you even have that album...? well if you do, listen to it then come and talk...And i mean the actual album released in 1973. Because i do have it...
