  • I'm pretty sure my GSP has drove me home before... I know I didn't.

  • Did you lock the gate?

  • Are there any more Oreo videos? So sweet. Looks just like mine, I can't believe how smart they are! :)

  • mine would walk by my nieces and nephews when they were little and butt check them to the ground. When the kid started to bawl, the GSP would walk away with a "smile"

  • Haha, GSP's are so smart. My Bear is also annoyingly just as smart. Great dogs! Very entertaining! :)

  • Our GSP can't open the gate yet, but insists he fit through the little cat door like the rest of our Jack Russell Terriers..

  • Awesome, they are such smart dogs.

  • I was expecting the dog to jump the fence. Great Video!

  • #CUTE and awesome

  • awsome dog

  • I had to drill a hole and insert a pin and cotter pin to prevent our wirehair from opening a baby gate. He could open it just as fast as a human. These dogs are just wonderful companion animals. Intelligent, goofy, and often extremely cooperative in the field.

  • wow i wish i culd teach my dog to do that but all she does is stare at the gate blankly n bark at it like barking is going to open it for her

  • we pen up my GSP and she learned quickly to just lift up the latch and escape. so we would keep the latch from opening with a bungee cord tied to the pen through the latch. Soon after, she learned to pull out the hook with her teeth, unless the rubber band was hooked in the other way. Since it was an S hook she simply pulled the rubber part off and knocked the hook out. Now we have nut and screw through the latch @_@ she's a bit TOO smart, that dog

  • The first night we had my gsp, Otto, he escaped from a gated off kitchen. He was only 6 weeks old. Upon discovering the kitchen was empty in the morning my father turned around to see a puppy standing on the couch behind him wagging his pan-handle tail lol. Damn smart breed.

  • this is what they do, they figure things out my gsp figured out how to move a 10' piece of lattice used as a gate

  • She used her paws to pull open the bottom of the gate! :O

  • Lol you think tht impressive my GSP jumped OVER our dinner table he's very hyper and playful :)

  • They r smart!!

  • What a smart dog! Our GSP starting opening doors either to get in or out. She's been breaking through the Pet Safe fence because she is so fast, she does't get hit with the shock. I told my husband to give her back and get a dumb dog if she's too smart for him! lol

  • i have one she's so cute btw she's just a pup

  • haha Nice my GSP and open the normal door handles.

  • haha heck yeah.

  • Smart dog! :D Cute, too!

  • aw that is cool our GSP knows how to unlock the dead bolt for our front door these dogs are so smart, loyal, and loving

  • LOL bad as my dog. He can open turn handle doors sometimes. Push down and push in door handles are easy for him.

  • ha my new puppy did the same thing with the same exact kind of gate.

  • Aww what a clever girl! :)

    5*****

    x

  • that is incredible

  • Hahaha awesome! I want a GSP!!

  • how come the door moved the opposite direction to the way he pushed it?

  • what do you mean, after she lifted the red thing, she went back down and pawed it open

  • i mean she pushed the door towards the camera but the door moved away from the camera.

  • She didn't push it, she pulled it towards her to open it.

  • well done!

  • awesome!!!!

  • Awsome! I'm on my second GSP and this one is dumber than the last but still WAY smarter than me. I love them!

  • WOW!! I know PEOPLE who aren't that smart!!

  • Haha, this reminds me of the time where my neighbour's GSP had a METAL chain leash attatched to his dog house, and when we came back home from going out, he somehow got out of it. :)

  • they're crazy. mine was able to break out of all kinds of chains. we finally ended up using a rope my father brought home from work that's used to lift boats!!! it finally worked, though! loved him so much, and miss him every day.

  • they are crazy. ours can open bottles and cupboard doors so we had baby locks fitted! :)

  • WOW! my shorthair would most likely figure it out. but not like that ! LOL!

  • that was great

  • lol they are the masters of escaping i have a 2 year old gsp and she can unlatch both locks on her kennel open doors and doesnt destroy a thing i think she does it just to prove she can and to piss me off lol

  • @flyfisher84 yeah, that sounds like a GSP... Prances around after?? hehe

  • todd ur dog is a gangster

  • I left my two GSP's home alone for the first time for 6 hours, and i left my bedroom door open, when i came home i found them under my bedsheets with my bed perfectly made.. Not sure how they got under there without messing up the bed :P

  • Great! I read somewhere that if you want a GSP be prepared to be outsmarted all the time. I love my GSP, unfortunately I don't have any videos of him...just a profile picture of him.

  • Haha that is so true!

  • Aww.. Hes so cute... Dont you guys let him arround the house?

  • lolz!

my gsp walks around opening cupboards

  • yeah, im not sure, but my mom left her beacj bag sjit close and with my bro's goggles in there. then i saw oreo with my bro's goggles a couple minutes later.

  • haha XD

  • lol

im teaching oreo to roll over, say more stuff and she got out of that lil' mini gate inside by biting the plastic bindings off and twisting the knob :)))

  • typical GSP!!! I have a magician of a shorthair as well, can get out of anything and into anything

  • german shorthairs are very smart dogs

  • LOL

  • Ooo thats cute
