@kingdaleclarke How is that terrible form? Close hands, all the way to the floor, straight back and legs!!! This is textbook and you're one jealous motherfucker.
@pennthebaker hahaha jealous of him? you mad? hes a bit old haha....and your wrong the form isnt perfect he isnt contraction the muscles for enough period of time at the top and he isnt tensing enough at the bottom to get the best out of it
@kingdaleclarke You've just made yourself look utterly ridiculous with that comment. Yeah he's a bit old and you can't do what he can and nowhere does it state that perfect form pressups require any period of time spent at either the top or bottom of the move. In actual fact, correct form pressups merely require a straight body and the lowering of the arms to 90 degrees. This guy surpasses that massively all the while maintaining a pretty close grip. Jealousy bites dickhead.
@pennthebaker im alot fitter than he is im 18 you pratt, and i understand we all age and i respect his desire and that but he aint going to get any stronger or in any better shape and i know what im talking about, unlike you..look to get the best out of any exercise you need to really tense and contract the muscle
@kingdaleclarke What's being 18 got to do with it? I know plenty of 18 year olds who can't do 10 push ups and who are morbidly obese. Your age is no indicator of fitness. I'm a physical training instructor in the army mate, so trust me i know more than you think. On top of that this guy isn't trying to "get the best out of this exercise" he's just demonstrating his excellent upper body endurance. Look at any press up record here, no one pauses at the top and bottom they're just going for numbers
He deserves all the praise and respect he gets. There are guys on fitness boards bragging about their strength and conditioning when all they can do is 62 half-assed pushups witha barely - discernible elbow bend. Holding the pushup position for as long as this guy did, and doing every rep full-range...fantastic job.
Youtube is weird. It's like a group of dumbasses no matter what. On legit pushup videos, everyone's like "there's no way you did that. This video is a fake." But on this vid, I can't find more than a couple comments saying this is fake. There's no human on this planet who can stay in the front leaning rest position that long, and doing 1 pushup every 5 seconds doesn't help either. This vid is totally fake I'm sure it's just a joke. Wow, poeple.
@Draykid Yep, and i suggest you to read the whole comment and more carefully! If you still disagree with me you can contact jdbigkitty75 and to ask him what exactly he meant!
it's funny how at the end you hear him count "646" and the time was actually more like 1 hr 10 mins but those abdominals and back and legs must be made of iron. I can hardly picture myself staying 5 minutes in pushup position and this guy does it for over an hour at age 60.....respect
Nobody can do anywhere near that many if they go without resting at the top; everybody gets inevitable lactic buildup in the muscles that will stop them if they go that route. This method is how world records are established, and it is not f*cking easy at all to stay in that position nearly as long as he did.
My respects too. That is way incredible . And for those who disrespected, stay in that position for an hour and a half (you dont even have to do push ups) and tell me if it is fake and gay then.
@TheStonedAsian1 holding that position causes lactic acid build up and makes it harder. kid, it's not cool to disrespect people, this shit was fuckin hard and i dont know anyone who can do over 150 pushups and this man can do 895. thats legendary. are you a child?
He has tech. You can twist your elbow/joint to point directly outward. When you do that, you can take the weight off of your chest, tricep, and bicep muscles. It transfers the weight from you shoulder joints to your elbow joints down to your wrists. Takes a MASSIVE amount of pressure off your MUSCLES and allows you to take a sec to recoup from lactic acid build up. If you can manage the lactic acid build up, and have decent conditioned muscles, you could do this all day long. That's his secret.

He's doin like 11 a minute at the start lol. Try do them faster, hes locking his arms at the top of the movement thus taking the strain off his triceps, shoulders and chest. The main muscles under stress in that position are his core. Put yourself in that position and I bet you can stay there for ages.
Still a great accomplishment, but no way he could do that many if he was doin around 40/50 a minute
@IbombYourAss not rest at all! still in push up position which makes it harder because of the constant load on your muscles! tell you what try it then tell us truthfully how easy it was for you. vid would be a plus!
@zaire730 He would only put the constant strain on his arms and chest if he kept his arms kind of bent when he went up for the few second break, watch the video. He locks his elbow, elimination the strain, thus making the pushups easier. Dumbass.
@IbombYourAss Lmfao! your real sensitive about a 60 year old man doing more push ups than you ever could! if you've ever held a static push up hold before you'd know that holding that position maintains strain on your WHOLE BODY!!! so to you I say Fuck off!!! when you do it and post a vid debunking common knowledge amongst people who actually workout then talk shit or keep that butt hole you call a mouth closed!!!!!!
Agreed, but having your hands under your shoulders is harder, and in the army they don't except any else, there's also the style of putting your hands "completely" together too, that's the hardest!
i did 50 push ups non stop but i know i could have done way more....
it just feels like your muscles want to give out on you but if you really are determined to keep going until complete failure where you cant do 1 full one anymore than you know you've done a good job on that workout
i can do 70 straight, and if i work at it im so sure i can do 100, mayb even 120 straight if i work hard at it, but 895? i'd have to work out this hard til im HIS age too lmao
yes it's true, locking your elbows out takes weight off of the lifting muscles and puts it on the joints tendons and mostly the bones, in effect, allowing the actual lifting muscles to rest. I do mine without locking out the elbows and with a wider grip. However given this man's age and the sheer volume without rest, this is not only impressive but is the culmination of consistent dedication over a long period of time.
then again, lock elbows deliberately like he does, does have a use.
well not to take anything away from him cause either way that is damn impressive, even more so for his age, but when you lock your elbows in like he does after every one it takes most of the strain off the actual lifting muscles. i guarantee if he did them repetitively without locking his elbows he would have only been able to do 200-300.. haha like i said, damn impressive. consider the average american can probably only do 20-30
The secret is keeping the posture of the body, and you will see that is almost the same thing as walking , I mean who can run fast for more than 100 meters? but so many people can walk all day long , I tried myself all this , but even if I have enough power at 240 pounds is hard to keep the posture but I can do 65 in a fast way .

okay, he is pretty strong and well-trained for being 60 years old, but comeon. You're actually pausing and resting after each pushup. how hard is that? :O
I'm sorry but pausing and resting are not the same. You can try it yourself. Or if you don't want to waste your time push up then just hold that elevated position for 10min, it work on your core strength a lot.
Or if you want some challenge, hold the lower position.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I mean i am impressed by your stamina and strength at age 60, but come on, you are averaging about 10-11 pushups every minute. I tried doing this after i watched you and realized i can just keep going if i do what you are doing. Granted i am 26 and in good shape, but i got bored at 500! I felt the burn but i could have kept going. There is nothing special about what you're doing, only that you are older and still keep in shape. for that i commend you but not for this display.
agreed, i kan just about do 50 but i dont pause wen i come up, i kud easly do 10 then stop but still hold my self in the upper push up position an then do anova ten n so on an i kud do that for at least 20 minutes but thats just sets of tens, i see some people pausing after every push up. i kud proply do that for 45 minutes kuz ur only really doing 1 push up, an thats why the guys u see doing that are not very muscular because what there doin is like walking 10 miles instead of jogging 5 miles.
i sill think its amazing that this guy can do this at age 60 but he maybe wud of done more like 200 continuous push ups an also 200 continuous wud of been a better work out for him AND A LOT MORE IMPRESSIVE
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yes, probably I can do a few hundreds myself if I had all that time to dedicate to it...but I get bored easily so I only do 70 pushups at normal speed 3 times a day
typical eastern european- we are monsters! all you silly western europeans could only aspire to be like us! none of you could offer real men like fedor emilaienko, vladimir putin, etc.
lol your an idiot dude- obviously it doesnt apply to all eastern europeans. its just that eastern europeans have a culture of being highly dicpline, warrior, and even intellectual people.

Try staying in that position. Do it until your muscles fail. You'll then see just how difficult it really is.

KISA072 3 years ago 3
i sill think its amazing that this guy can do this at age 60 but he maybe wud of done more like 200 continuous push ups an also 200 continuous wud of been a better work out for him AND A LOT MORE IMPRESSIVE

Yes but the point is that if you train hard till you hit 50 than you'll be in good shape anyways
Of course I admire his willpower and I plan on building a strong and long lasting body for myself

Yes, probably I can do a few hundreds myself if I had all that time to dedicate to it...but I get bored easily so I only do 70 pushups at normal speed 3 times a day
Ovidius777 3 years ago
10 minutes would be enough for a proof
