Common we're talking about the modernization of china, with new buildings that meet safety codes, electric codes, gas codes, mold codes, infestation codes. So, somebody's knowledge of China is from a book. i never been to America, but i saw many Hollywood movies about American shooting at each other and abnormals. i read American masterpieces like American Tragedy, or Sister Carrie. May i say, "oh, America is hell". u judge China with a 25 years old book. what a wiser! do u have the proof that the girl is arrested? bullshit. i am one average resident in China, my family has a house in Shandong and another is in Shanghai. my parents used to be famers, now the land is used to build a factory, they worked in the factory for 10 years and retired now. the government pay them 600rmb/m for the land. we move to Shanghai two years ago and buy a house here. i finish my master degree with the government pay for the tuition. now i work in downtown makes 10,000/m. tell me your experience? are u treated as an animal?

All the the media are controlled by the government, people don't have a chance to voice their grievances. Rather, we should question the government why it prohibited the video from being published by the media, why it tried to cover the news if they have nothing to hide? Where is the footage of the *prolonged* request by the Chinese Government to vacate the region? Common we're talking about the modernization of china, with new buildings that meet safety codes, electric codes, gas codes, mold codes, infestation codes. These people can only be offered a specific percentage of the buildings worth. After the demolition charges and bureaucratic financing, it is understandable that there is little money left. It is cruel yes, but eminent domain happens everywhere.

Not only fighting them but throwing small explosives at them too! Bringing in a fire hose was a smart thing. They were going to let that crazy woman in the red coat go except for the fact that she attacked the one of the officers! HuahuaWorld: do u ever think about the others and the majority. take a valleage in Shanghai for example, 99% accept the compensation and agree with the demolition, only one or two people refused, should the 99% of people sacrifice what they need in order to protect 1% of people's right. is it fair? i do not see many protestors. it tells me most of the people there agreed with the demolition.

I do not speak about sth i don't know. i live in Shanghai where demolition happens a lot. i know some Shanghai natives. they live in a old, dirty and worned houses, like 6 or 8 people share one room. they do not work and live on the relief. in order to build a road for public or rebuilt a new house there, they ask for the high price. i know many people get rich after the demolition, a new house and a car. some guy get a girlfriend only because of demolition. it is what i know and i can prove it.

The question is not whether the compensation is reasonable, but rather if the demolition is forced. Unless the condition of the houses is bad that they should be pulled down, the GVT should not have the right to drive people out of their homes in order to demolish their houses against their own wills. (But I do know some people want their houses be demolished in order to get a reasonable compensation, so all demolitions are not forced)
