Thank you so much for this video. I love it. Faith comes by hearing. You could spend a lifetime unpacking this. I love his thoughts on resonance. Powerful. And thanks to Fr. Peyton too, the centenary of his birth was celebrated last year in Ireland. :)
I love McLuhan. I think it's sad that the media puts people like Kirk Cameron and Pat Robertson up on a platform and say, 'This is Christendom, isn't it foolish?' It's nice to listen to a true intellectual talk about the church in a positive way. Really though I haven't head anything this intelligent on religion in recent years. That includes inside of churches I've been in. Robertson and Cameron probably are the better representatives. I think I find that depressing. I think I'm depressed.
1: At the end of this part of the interview he shows a profound negligence in apologetic matters. He talks exclusively about his iown ndividual aproach and experience in a way to let it be generally understood as well as possible.
2: The reports of the experiences of detainees, lately in guantanamo for example, massively underscore his words.
You must have this short of thinking mandated in our schools, maybe we will have less student violence on student. at first I found this difficult to follow but a few reps did the trick.

McLuhan's Catholic apologetics is a farce. How very disappointing. :(
