  • I love this song.I am normally a twitching stain on the carpet after listening to it.

  • one of my fav all time bands

  • One of the most under rated bands of the late 70s, this is due to the music papers only writing punk in the history.

But the truth is for anyone who grew up in the late 70s, most of the punk singles had low chart positions and never sold very well..

But the written history tells us something else

  • @kevinturvy Ok this one was from 1981 but i think people can understand what i mean

  • thank you for your concern. means a lot to me. just so lonely right now. came back to see this video again, just cos I miss them x

  • luuuuurve this, reminds me of being a knee high kid :)

  • If you like this song there's a nice story about it i read once. The singer in Squeeze had eleceted to be a musician - as we know - but his mum wasn't too happy and wanted him to get a proper job. But when she heard this song on the radio, she knew her son had done the right thing.

    I think that's sweet.

  • during the wartime an american pilot, made every air raid a time of excitement.

  • The past has been bottled - and labelled with love. Great line. And a great effin tune, too.

  • seems a little fast but thanks mate, love it

  • Great song, great lyrics , the C&W style really makes it work

  • Great song, poignant story, excellent band. Nuff said...

  • Squeeze guitarist and lyricist Chris Difford got the idea for this song after looking at a photograph of an old lady sitting in a bar in Paris in 1936. Says Difford: Labeled With Love' was an adult lyric in a way that the older generation could latch on to and understand My mother absolutely loved it. The story is about the end of a relationship after the war I'd been reading about American soldiers in Britain during the war who married English girls and whisked them off their feet to the States

  • i always wondered what it was about , i thought it was along those lines . thanks
