@comentarioo My wife speaks spanish and she can understand the portugese translated into spanish and then english for me. So maybe his accent is off a little? Either way, from an english speaking point of view, it's a nice example of the original. And even if you don't understand you still have the video, and if you not a man, well, then you can at least appreciate the swim suits.

And just for the record each of the women in the video was absoulutely gorgeous. Among some of the most beautiful women on planet earth. Beauty at a level of physical perfection. He is singing in PT-BR (Brazilian Portuguese) and not PT-PT (Portuguese from Portugal), I just said I understood him well even being Portuguese and him singing in PT-BR, and that it's always difficult for an English speaker to speak any Portuguese well because it's a completely different language, and for that I gave him congratulations. Of course there are always something to improve, but he's not Brazilian or Portuguese, that was my point. ;)

I'm not offended at all...I'm fluent in Italian and can speak Spanish. I've always wanted to speak Portuguese, but have been limited in my learning.

The song was sung phonetically..I've always loved this song and Gilberto's tone and sound, singing it always inspired me.

I understand everyone's point. It's difficult for people who know the language well to hear someone try and sing it. The song is beautiful and the lyrics amazing. But I know what you mean...

Daniel, the problem isnt the accent. Everybody has accents, this is normal, just correct that part of the poem in portuguese "num doce balanço" a caminho do mar. This ç has s sound ok? I couldnt understand what you said in that part.. Menina isnt "meniña" as in spanish. And its "moça" not "moço".Congratulations and you sing very well. Just other correction: Karolina Kurkova isnt brazilian. She is from Czec Republic hehe. But its ok. Nice video!
