It's all different. Some have the fingerprint reader, and the bluetooth, and some don't. I think all come with the webcam and microphone, and wireless.
Thank you for the great reviews they are pretty helpful. I have a question though, i recently purchased a Tx 2500 and im getting a flickering noise whenever im listening to a cd, video or anything with sound? Did yous do this at all? If so would you know how to fix the problem? It isnt because the speakers are ripped i think its the sound chip?
Hi i had a question about the sound again. The sound does a little flick here and there but it is pretty suddle and it doesnt happen that much, just wondering if this was normal? If not is there a way to help it?
Not really. You need to find any software that would encrypt a folder with a password. Then when you have the password window open use the fingerprint software already on there to fill it out with your fingerprint.
that sucks. you know what. everybody in my family thinks its my brother who stole it. because he had the keys to my house that day. and when i got home from school. it was gone. i was like. wtf?! i flipped out man. aahhha;lsdkjf;alsdjf
yeah dude i was so pissed, i broke my closet door with one punch, i didnt know i could do it and i didnt mean to haha. and yeah i recommend you buy some kind of alarm for your home or something. i got one. and i got like 4 locks on my door. just in case lol
do u have any idea of what it is worth in AU$??i live in australia and am looking at purchasing one but all of the stores list it at different prices so i am confused!!
I hear the lid covering is very flimsy, and it bends easily (with the monitor!). Also, if you press onto it, it will make a distortion on the screen. Is this correct? How bad is it actually? They say that it's the worst tablet laptop in the industry for that (or really bad), but I'd like to if it's just a minor thing to get used to. BTW, love the videos, I subscribed and favorited your videos!
i saw it at he store an the screen looked kinda grainy and really reflective idk is it always like that? and would you advice it over Toshiba M700 im debating between those two
The tx2500z ONLY comes with ATI Radeon 3200. The tx2000's that they're selling come with nvidia cards. They are previous generations but still have tx2000 on the front. Get the tx2500z. It comes with ATI. If you see one with nvidia, it's a tx2000.
My internet has been down for past few days. At starbucks catching up right now. Will upload 3rd video with bunch of features and gameplay soon as I get internet back up.
As sirgecko said, all tx2500z's will have a "tx2000" label on them because they are still in the product line of the tx2000's. They just have different core features such as AMD's Puma platform.
It's good to have the 2.4ghz for when you need it. You can lower the processor settings a bit with Windows power options (and that makes it run cooler, while saving power).
Yes it does run really hot when 100% full cpu. I prefer to keep it at 90% max (software controlled).
I don't see 2.4GHz available online or the HP customizer, only up to 2.2GHz as far as I see - did you get a special config system for review or a commercial config or something?
So even at 90% - what's the deal....is it too hot to hold? Is it too heavy to hold for a long time? Can you run Media Center when it is in tablet mode? It looks kinda thick....
It's not very thick at all. As long as it's in widescreen resolution, it can run media center. It's not too heavy, it's about 4 pounds I'd say. It's not too hot. If it does get too hot (which almost never happens), I just put it in power saver mode.
I haven't really seen any on-the-surface way to do fingerprints for websites; it's just mainly for programs with login screens.
E.G. It detected Starcraft Brood War's battlenet login screen and lets me login with fingerprint even though it's an old program, but I don't know if there's an addon that firefox has to integrate the fingerprint thing in for websites.
I'll be sure to let you know if I find anything though.
I may be wrong but isn't the highest processor you can get 2.2 GHz for this model? I checked the HP site to customize it and it only has 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 GHz available.
what a stunningly bad piece of computer crap this is.

the touchscreen isn't as good as if it were capacitive but the only one that has capacitive touch is the Dell Latitude XT

can you explain me what is that "capacitive" feature? =/

magnetic field over screen instead of a thin membrane which is unresponsive to light touch and makes screen grainy.

To fix this go to control panel and open up the device manager. Go to your wireless card.
Open properties and go to advanced. Disable "A" band.
that will fix problem.
raiden72 3 years ago
Oh ok i think i got it to work! Thank you i appreciate it. Do you know if i were to also disable B band would it help the sound better?
gmorale 3 years ago
No. It's A band that messes up sound.

it's kinda unrealistic to expect money for something i can already find both all over youtube and all over the net....for free.
maybe you weren't serious, but it sounds serious so i'm just assuming you are....:S

I do more hands-on reviews; I'm not expecting any money. They are "donations" and should be treated as such.
So far they're the only tx2500z overviews on the net. They're free. You don't have to pay, so why question what other people may do with their money?

I would like to thank you for the reviews and I hope you are getting some donations :)

The lid covering is a bit flimsy, yes. I'd guess it's to cut down on weight more or less.
I don't think it'll get in the way in the future though. I pressed down on several places, but none distorted the screen.
