Although sometimes, in a handful of cases, American English dialects reflect Japanese dialects. I am not used to hearing the word "jimmies" to refer to an ice cream topping i call "sprinkles". Also, the thing you push in a store and fill with groceries is called a "carriage" here. Back home, I call it a "shopping cart". However, in Japanese more words have different variants among dialects.
